Pakistani batsman Babar Azam on Monday overtook Indian captain Virat Kohli to become the third-fastest cricket player to hit his 11th ODI hundred. Babar Azam managed to hit his 11th century in one-day internationals in just 71st innings while Virat Kohli took 82 innings to hit his 11 ODI centuries. Babar Azam managed to pull the feat in the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka where Pakistan is playing the host. The second ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka took place on Monday at Karachi National Stadium which left Pakistan win the match by 67 runs. The first match was scheduled at the same venue was washed out without a ball being bowled on Friday. Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s chairman Ehsan Mani was confident that the board will not pay any extra money to the international teams to tour Pakistan in future. He was talking to the media at National Stadium Karachi (NSK) along with Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC)’s representatives during the second ODI between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Mani said that the board has raced the efforts to bring more international teams in the country but will make sure to not offer any extra money to the players. “No, we won’t pay any extra money to the players in the future. It is about cricket and not money,” Mani said while replying to a question. The PCB’s boss thanked the international cricket boards to consider Pakistan as the venue to play cricket and is hopeful to host some more high-profile teams in the near future.
