Sanjay Dutt, who is now preparing for his forthcoming Tamil film Leo, recently spoke up about his stint in Pune’s Yerwada Jail. According to reports, the actor was sentenced to five years in prison after being nabbed for possessing weapons related to the 1993 Mumbai attacks. Sanjay honestly described how he made the most of his prison time on the show Star versus Food Survival, hosted by chef Ranveer Brar.

During his time in jail, Sanjay seems to have prioritized personal development, taking advantage of the chance to broaden his knowledge and talents. He studied cuisine, expanded his knowledge of the scriptures, and dedicated himself to physical training, emerging with a stronger and more resilient demeanour.

“The first time I went to jail, if you look at the photographs outside Thane jail – Anna, Akshay, Ajay, Shah Rukh, everybody came and wished me well,” the actor recounted. “Why overthink things when I wasn’t getting out of jail? I had to make up my mind that yes, I had to go. I have to face it. In six years, I faced it, managed it, made the most out of it, and learned from it. I used that time to learn cooking, scriptures, and working out. I came out with a better physique.”

The presence of his close buddy and fellow actor Suniel Shetty made the actor’s attendance on the show even more significant. Sanjay reflected on the camaraderie in Bollywood in the 1980s versus now, saying, “There was so much bonding amongst all of us.” We were so in sync. We were in so many films together.”

In an unusual twist, Sanjay and Suniel, along by Chef Ranveer, ventured into the beautiful and undisturbed terrains of rural Coorg. They had to prepare two whole dinners while overcoming numerous hurdles over a difficult 15-kilometer stretch.

“After my delightful journey on Star vs Food Survival, I’ve uncovered a new recipe for life—one that revolves around relishing each moment with loved ones and savoring the bonds we share,” Sanjay said of his experience on the show. Collaborating with my great friend Suniel Shetty has given this event a unique flavor, rekindling priceless memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Food, camaraderie, and laughter—truly the ideal components for a happy life.”

Sanjay’s journey displays his perseverance and desire to make the most of every moment, illustrating that personal growth and transformation may occur in the most unexpected locations. Akshay’s forthcoming film “Mission Raniganj” is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Pooja Entertainment. Penned by Vipul K. Rawal, the cast includes Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, and Rajesh Sharma, among others. Initially titled “Capsule Gill” and later “The Great Indian Rescue,” the film’s name was eventually changed to “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue.” It is scheduled for theatrical release on October 6.

Besides “Mission Raniganj,” Akshay Kumar has a lineup of other films in the works. These include the comedy film “Welcome to the Jungle,” the third installment in the “Welcome” franchise, directed by Ahmed Khan. The announcement video recently featured the major cast members performing an acapella. Akshay is also set to appear in Ali Abbas Zafar’s “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” the Marathi film “Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat,” the remake of “Soorarai Pottru,” “Sky Force,” and “Hera Pheri 3.”

A source closely associated with the development shared, “Subhash Kapoor has completed the screenplay and will initiate pre-production towards the end of this year. The third installment will depict a clash between righteousness and malevolence within a courtroom backdrop. Like its predecessors, Jolly LLB 3 will present a captivating courtroom drama, seamlessly blending humor, suspense, and a relevant societal issue for discussion. The director has skillfully crafted a narrative that justifies the presence of both Jollys, and they are enthusiastic about returning to the courtroom after a hiatus of six years.” The source also revealed that Saurabh Shukla, who portrayed Judge Tripathi in the previous movies, will continue his role in this installment, produced by Star Studios.

Jolly LLB 3 is scheduled to begin filming in February and is anticipated to be shot over a continuous two-month period in Madhya Pradesh. The movie is aiming for a theatrical release in late 2024. Prior to this, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi will collaborate on Firoz Nadiadwala’s Welcome 3. The Welcome franchise is undergoing a reboot with new characters and cast, boasting an impressive ensemble including Akshay, Arshad, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani in leading roles. The adventure comedy, titled Welcome to the Jungle, is set to commence production around November 2023, with plans for a Christmas 2024 theatrical release.

Akshay Kumar has a busy schedule ahead with eight films lined up over the next two years. He has already completed four movies: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, The Great Indian Rescue, the Soorarai Pottru remake, and the C. Shankaran Nair biopic. Currently, he is filming Dinesh Vijan’s aerial action thriller, Sky Force, in Sitapur. Following the completion of Sky Force, Akshay will proceed to shoot Mudassar Aziz’s Khel Khel Mein in London, followed by Welcome 3 and Jolly LLB 3.

Paresh was honored with the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role for his portrayal of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in the original “Hera Pheri” in 2001. The Hindi film, directed by Priyadarshan, was a remake of the Malayalam film “Ramji Rao Speaking” (1989).

In recent months, the cast also collaborated on a promotional announcement for the film. The announcement confirmed the return of the original trio, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, in “Hera Pheri 3.” This announcement dispelled any speculations about other actors joining the cast.
