Actor Shahid Kapoor and former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar recently met at the opening ceremony of the International League T20 (ILT20) in the UAE, accompanied by Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh.
Shoaib Akhtar shared a video on Instagram of his conversation with Shahid, where the actor was dressed in an all-black outfit for the event. In the video, Shoaib is seen smiling while chatting with Shahid, who also acknowledged Harbhajan by patting him on the shoulder. As the conversation concluded, Shahid extended his hand to say goodbye to Shoaib.
Sharing the moment on social media, Shoaib called the encounter a “lovely” coincidence, writing, “Lovely running into @shahidkapoor at @ilt20official. #allinforcricket #entertheepic #KabirSingh @harbhajan3.” Shahid performed at the ceremony, bringing his Deva swag to the stage, dancing to songs like Marji Chaa Maalik and Aala Re Aala Deva Aala.
