Nana Patekar shares why he doesn’t want to retire

  • Nana Patekar opened up about his thoughts on retirement.
  • Patekar admitted he couldn’t imagine a life without acting.
  • His comments reflected how integral work is to his mental well-being.

Veteran actor Nana Patekar, known for his honest personality and impactful performances, recently opened up about his thoughts on retirement during a candid conversation with friend and former co-star Anil Kapoor. The two were discussing Patekar’s upcoming film Vanvaas, which is set to release on December 20, 2024.

When asked by Kapoor about his retirement plans, the 73-year-old actor dismissed the idea, questioning its relevance in his life. “How can I retire? There is so much happening in Agal-Bagal (around us), so much pollution, so much suffocation,” he said, highlighting how he draws purpose and satisfaction from his work amidst the chaos of modern life.

Patekar admitted he couldn’t imagine a life without acting, adding, “We would have died. We would have gone mad. We would have killed someone. This is what we have. We can remove whatever we have. What would have happened to us?” His comments reflected how integral work is to his sense of identity and mental well-being.

Turning the question back to Kapoor, the Rajneeti actor jokingly remarked, “It would be difficult for you to retire because people at your home won’t be able to tolerate you.” Kapoor, known for his fitness and work ethic at 67, humorously agreed, creating a lighthearted moment.

Produced, written, and directed by Anil Sharma, Vanvaas stars Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma, promising a compelling narrative this December.

  • He emphasized the damaging effects of baseless speculation.
  • He highlighted his commitment to keeping family matters private.

Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has addressed the spread of speculation and unverified information in a cryptic blog post, amid rumours about his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai’s marriage facing difficulties.

Without directly referring to the rumours, the 82-year-old star emphasized the damaging effects of baseless speculation. “Speculations are speculations, they are speculated untruths, without verifications,” Bachchan wrote. He criticized the tendency to circulate unverified claims, saying, “Fill the World with untruth or questioned untruth and your job is over… how it may have affected the subject individual or situation has been hand washed away from your hands… your conscience, if ever you have one, has been overridden.”

Bachchan highlighted his commitment to keeping family matters private. “It takes immense courage, conviction and a sincerity to be different and believe in its presence in life… I rarely say much about family, because that is my domain and its privacy is maintained by me,” he stated.

The actor’s comments arrive amidst speculations about Abhishek and Aishwarya’s relationship, which began in 2006 and led to their marriage in 2007. The couple shares a 13-year-old daughter, Aaradhya. Sean Diddy’s LA mansion gets half-price offer due to ongoing scandal

Sean Diddy's Mansion
  • Sean Diddy’s Holmby Hills mansion has received $30 million offer.
  • The place is a focal point of alleged controversial parties.
  • CEO of BI expressed interest in acquiring the mansion.

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Holmby Hills mansion, listed at $61.5 million in September, has attracted an offer of $30 million—half the asking price. The 17,000-square-foot estate, a focal point of ongoing legal cases and alleged controversial parties, has become a subject of both real estate and scandal headlines, as reported by The New York Post.

Bo Belmont, CEO of Belwood Investments, has expressed interest in acquiring the 10-bedroom property. Belmont, who recently purchased Kanye West’s California estate, outlined plans for a major overhaul. “I want to remove the stigma and focus on the charming elegance of this remarkable property,” Belmont stated in a press release. He added, “We intend major renovations and especially want to recapture the beautiful, bucolic setting of the outside grounds, with its picturesque trees, foliage, and walkways.” Belmont further noted, “This prominent estate will be a great asset to our growing portfolio of luxury properties.” Post-renovation, he intends to list it for resale.

The property, set on 1.3 acres, features a cobblestone driveway, manicured lawns, and luxurious amenities, including a chef’s kitchen, wine cellar, theatre, and a recording studio-equipped guest house. Marketing materials confirm the mansion will only be shown to “prequalified clients.”

Earlier raids on Diddy’s LA and Miami homes in March reportedly caused “significant property damage,” according to Page Six.

Anthony Mackie on how he and Chris Evans reacted to his casting as Captain America

Anthony Mackie
  • Anthony Mackie is set to debut as Captain America.
  • He will be presenting a fresh take on the iconic character.
  • Mackie talked the moment he learned about his casting.

Anthony Mackie, best known for portraying Sam Wilson (formerly The Falcon) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is set to debut as Captain America in Captain America: Brave New World, releasing on February 14, 2025. Notably, Mackie’s Captain America will be the first without the Super Soldier Serum, presenting a fresh take on the iconic character.

At the Disney APAC Content Showcase in Singapore, Mackie revealed the moment he learned about his casting. “I found out while watching a football game at Chris Evans’ house,” he said. “When I read it, we just hugged each other and jumped around in a circle.”

Explaining Sam Wilson’s evolution, Mackie shared, “Sam’s evolution is simple. He’s still a counselor. He’s still serving soldiers, but at the same time, now he’s a leader of his community in the country. It’s very different with the serum — you can fight anybody. When you don’t have the serum, you have to be smart and engineer different ways of defeating [enemies].”

Mackie also praised his Wakandan-designed Captain America suit, saying, “It’s a high-tech suit. I can kick harder, I can fly faster, and it gives me the ability to be more agile in my skills.”

When asked about his favorite superhero, Mackie revealed, “My favorite character of all time is the Incredible Hulk. I’ve always been a Hulk fan.”

With Brave New World, Mackie promises a grounded, espionage-driven story, staying true to the original Captain America films while carving a unique path for Sam Wilson.
