Pooja Bhatt
  • Pooja Bhatt responded to the recent debate around using seat belts while driving.
  • Cyrus Mistry, a former chairman of Tata Sons, recently died in an automobile accident.
  • Pooja used Twitter to emphasise the value of seat belts and repair potholes and broken roads.

Pooja Bhatt is an actress and director who is well known for sharing her ideas on social media, and has responded to the recent debate around using seat belts while driving. Cyrus Mistry, a former chairman of Tata Sons, recently died in an automobile accident. He reportedly didn’t have his seat belt on.

Pooja used Twitter to emphasise the value of seat belts as well as the need to repair potholes and broken roads.

She tweeted, “All this talk of seat-belts & air bags. Important? Yes! But more so is fixing potholes & damaged roads. When will the usage of substandard material to build our roads, highways, freeways be deemed criminal. Also maintaining those roads once built & inaugurated with pomp is key.” Have a look:

Soon after she shared the post, a lot of users were seen reacting to it. One of the users wrote, “Absolutely true. While seat belt is important, good planning and execution of roads and maintenance is job of administration….which sadly they don’t do most of the times.”

Another user wrote, “Precisely..putting the onus only on the seat belts & airbags won’t make it safer. Every aspects of road transportation has to be augmented starting with making it mandatory for the builders to use better materials for building roads, etc. Fixing the existing ones is bare minimum.”

After hearing about Cyrus Mistry’s passing, Dia Mirza recently asked everyone to buckle up. Tweeted she, “I beg you to wear your seat belts. Teach your children to wear seat belts. It saves lives.”

Pooja is prepared to appear in “Chup: The Revenge of the Artist” on the professional front. Along with Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, and Shreya Dhanwanthary, it is directed by R Balki.

COVID-19 Sounds app: Uses your voice to detect virus

COVID-19 Sounds app
  • An app has been created that can identify COVID-19 just by listening to your voice.
  • Inflammation of the respiratory system and vocal cords is one of the main symptoms.
  • The application is 89% accurate in identifying positive cases.

An app has been created by researchers from Maastricht University in the Netherlands that can identify COVID-19 just by listening to your voice.

The application states that it can identify illnesses “more precisely than lateral flow tests.”

The COVID-19 Sounds App is already available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Inflammation of the respiratory system and vocal cords, which typically results in a change in the patient’s voice, is one of the main symptoms of COVID-19 infections.

The researchers looked into the possibility of accurately diagnosing the illness using these symptoms.

The scientific team used artificial intelligence (AI), which was more accurate than fast antigen tests with a rate of more than 89%.

Data from more than 893 audio samples collected from 4,352 healthy and unhealthy adults were used to train the AI model. It was discovered that 308 of these patients tested positive for COVID-19.

Wafaa Aljbawi, a researcher at Maastricht University’s Institute of Data Science, said:

“These promising results suggest that simple voice recordings and fine-tuned AI algorithms can potentially achieve high precision in determining which patients have Covid-19 infection. Such tests can be provided at no cost and are simple to interpret. Moreover, they enable remote, virtual testing and have a turnaround time of less than a minute.”

On Monday, the study was presented at the international congress of the European Respiratory Society in Barcelona.

How It Operates

The app requests some fundamental data from users, like their demographics, medical history, and smoking status, before prompting them to capture a sample of their breathing sounds.

Coughing three times, taking three to five deep breaths through their lips, and reading a brief sentence on the screen three times are all examples of this.

The software makes use of a speech analysis method called Mel-spectrogram analysis, which examines voice characteristics like loudness, power, and fluctuation over time to diagnose.

The software is 89% accurate in identifying positive cases, as was already mentioned, however it is only about 83% accurate at identifying negative cases.

Kareena Kapoor accused of talking about how people looked at airports

Kareena Kapoor Khan
  • Kareena Kapoor Khan appeared on Case Toh Banta Hai.
  • The reality show is hosted by Ritesh Deshmukh, Kusha Kapila, and Varun Sharma.
  • It was her first OTT production under Sujoy Ghosh’s direction.

The Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan recently made an appearance on Case Toh Banta Hai, a reality case drama series hosted by Ritesh Deshmukh, Kusha Kapila, and Varun Sharma. The actor was seen enthusiastically participating in the courtroom drama and appeared to be enjoying herself tremendously.

When approached about appearing on the programme, Katrina revealed that “Case Toh Banta Hai had a unique format that appealed to me instantly. The concept of India’s first official court of comedy was something that I found extremely interesting and it was like an instant dose of laughter, which I’m sure will appeal universally. Plus, shooting with Ritesh, Kusha and Varun and the other cast was absolutely fun!”

When questioned about the worst “atrangi ilzaam” she has ever heard being used against her, she frankly revealed,  “I think in the show itself when I was accused of gossiping about airport looks and the internet getting jammed because of that. It was just too hilarious and I had a hard time controlling my laughter even while I was shooting”.

The actress concluded by saying that she had a great time working alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Varun Sharma, and Kusha Kapila. “Riteish is a very dear friend of mine and Varun and Kusha are some of the best names to work with. They’re so professional yet so warm. It was a truly memorable experience. In fact everyone on the sets was too easy to deal with; it was a seamless affair”.

In the meantime, Kareena recently appeared in the film “Laal Singh Chaddha” with Aamir Khan and Naga Chaitanya. She will next be seen in her first OTT production under Sujoy Ghosh’s direction. Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma play significant parts in the movie, which is based on the Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X.

Alia Bhatt disagrees that there is a bad climate for the release of Brahmastra

Alia Bhatt
  • Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were prevented from entering a temple in Ujjain.
  • Bajrang Dal members displayed black flags and placards at the Mahakaleshwar Temple.
  • Trolls are pushing people not to watch Brahmastra using the hashtag #BoycottBrahmastra.

Even though Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were not permitted to enter a temple in Ujjain on Tuesday, she is still optimistic about the movie’s opening. At the Brahmastra press conference in Delhi on Wednesday, Alia Bhatt disputed the notion that the current state of Bollywood was unfavourable. She emphasised that we must have a positive attitude.

“Climate bas ye hai ki September hai phir October aayega (climate is such that it is September right now and it will be followed by October),” she said. “There is no such thing. It is a beautiful environment to release a movie. Right now, we need to be healthy, happy, safe, secure. We should all feel grateful for just life in general. So aise kuch mat bolo, aap mat spread karo. The environment is not negative. Everything is positive, everything is good. And that is it,” she added.

Bajrang Dal protesters blocked actors from entering the Mahakaleshwar Temple on Tuesday. Recently, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia, and the director Ayan travelled to Ujjain to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings for their forthcoming movie, Brahmastra. Men opposed Ranbir throughout their trip to the temple because of the 11-year-old remark that is currently trending on social media.

He previously admitted that he enjoys eating beef and shared the video on social media. The actor is currently dealing with a lot of anger on social media because of his 11-year-old comment, and trolls are pushing people not to watch the movie using the hashtag #BoycottBrahmastra on Twitter.

In opposition to the movie, Bajrang Dal members displayed black flags and placards at the Mahakaleshwar Temple. According to reports, only Ayan was given permission to seek the deity’s blessing because Ranbir and Alia were not permitted to access the Temple grounds. Local police were able to contain the scene, and some demonstrators were physically assaulted by government workers for violating security.

Qualcomm launches new Snapdragon chips for low-priced phones

Qualcomm launches new Snapdragon chips
  • The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and 4 Gen 1 are intended for mid-range and low-cost phones.
  • Both processors feature eight cores, but the main CPU cores of the SD4G1 are limited to 2.0GHz.
  • The SD6G1’s Spectra Triple ISP can handle 108MP cameras and uses Multi-frame Noise Reduction technology to lessen noise.

Immediately following the Snapdragon 8 and 7 Gen 1, we now have something for low-cost phones.

Recent smartphone chipset releases from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 (SD6G1) and 4 Gen 1 (SD4G1), are intended for mid-range and low-cost phones, respectively.

Although Qualcomm has not yet released the complete spec sheet, we do know that the SD4G1 is still using the 6 nm node while the SD6G1 is based on TSMC’s 4 nm technology.

Both processors feature eight cores, but the main CPU cores of the SD4G1 are limited to 2.0GHz whereas the main CPU cores of the SD6G1 are capable of 2.2GHz.

Also unmentioned by Qualcomm are the Adreno GPUs built within the CPUs.

Without mentioning the processor it was compared against, Qualcomm has merely stated that the GPU is 35% more powerful than previously and that computational performance has increased by 40%.

Since Qualcomm doesn’t make any other 400-series processors, we assume the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 is being compared to the Snapdragon 480/480+ since it has a 15% faster CPU and 10% better GPU.

The 12-bit Spectra Triple image signal processor (ISP) in the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 offers 200MP cameras and native HDR image capture.

Additionally, it makes use of the 7th generation Qualcomm AI Engine to enhance overall effectiveness and performance as well as the bokeh effect and other features.

It is connected via Wi-Fi 6E and contains a 4th generation Snapdragon X62 5G modem.

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 also featured an AI Engine from Qualcomm, however, it wasn’t the most recent version.

This chip’s Spectra Triple ISP can handle 108MP cameras and uses Multi-frame Noise Reduction technology to lessen noise.

Due to the Snapdragon X51 5G modem, it also supports 5G, but Wi-Fi 6E is not present.

In around three weeks, Vivo’s iQOO Z6 Lite will make its Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 debut. Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 smartphones will be released in Q1 2023.
