Experts feel Johnny Depp has already won

Johnny Depp

According to analysts, Johnny Depp is gaining more support and coming out on top in the court of public opinion, which might be more crucial than whether he wins his defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

“When [Johnny Depp] stepped off the stand, I think he already won based on his definition of winning,” said Texas civil attorney Katherine Lizardo.

“Because he already obtained the favor of the court of public opinion … once he told his story.”

During the second week of the trial in Fairfax, Virginia, the Pirates of the Caribbean testified for four days — and then again for more than three hours on Wednesday. The 58-year-old has publicly stated his case, and legal and public relations experts told The Washington Post that a jury verdict in his favour isn’t as important.

“I think for Johnny Depp, winning the legal side of the defamation claim does not matter to him,” Lizardo told The Post. “Winning – it would just be icing on the cake for him because his main goal for filing the defamation lawsuit was to clear his name and to appeal to the court of public opinion.”

“Right now I think it’s undisputed that the court of public opinion favours him and heard him and are now supporting him. Whether or not he wins — I don’t think it matters to him or even to the court of public opinion,” Lizardo said.

California entertainment lawyer Mitra Ahouraian added that the case isn’t really about winning a defamation claim — but about clearing Depp’s name in the public sphere, as he’s said.

“This case is about using the courts as a platform to tell his side of the story and clearing the record and swaying the court of public opinion,” Ahouraian said.

“It’s more important than the actual lawsuit,” Ahouraian said. “Certainly winning the lawsuit helps because it would establish that something untrue was said about him and that’s a big deal.”

Depp’s legal team made sure to address Heard’s allegations against him head-on, giving his perspective on what happened.

“He went into this knowing that all of this was going to come out,” Ahouraian said. “‘Fine, I do drugs, I battled addiction since I was young, but I am not a wife beater.’ And that’s all he’s trying to say.”

The airing of the Johnny-Amber trial has become the ‘worst decision’ for sexual assault victims

Johnny Depp

Millions of people have been watching Court TV as terrible testimony has been discovered over the last six weeks in Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s blockbuster case.

However, many believe that televising the judicial procedures will have a chilling impact on survivors of domestic and sexual assault.

According to Variety, Stanford Law School professor Michele Dauber stated, “Allowing this trial to be aired is the single worst judgement I can think of in recent history in the context of intimate partner abuse and sexual assault.”

“It has ramifications way beyond this case,” Dauber added.

Moreover, an attorney who previously represented such victims expressed her fear that the survivors would hesitate to appear on a livestream.

Michelle Simpson Tuegel said, “They see someone who is not only being televised but is being taken apart in such a hateful way.”

“Livestreaming is really just a way to magnify what survivors are going through. I’m saddened and disgusted by how it is going to create a discourse of scaring people from seeking justice and speaking out about what they’ve been through,” she added.

Is the Queen prepared for a smooth and joyous coronation of Prince Charles?

Queen Elizabeth

Following her health concerns, Queen Elizabeth II has been urged to relinquish the crown in favour of her oldest son Prince Charles over the last several months.

Daniella Elser, a royal specialist, has urged the Queen to make a “unthinkable” act and abdicate in order for Prince Charles to ascend the throne, adding that “she should resign since she can no longer physically do” her job.

Elser went on to say: “A smooth, joy-filled coronation for King Charles III, one which starred his beaming mother casting a proud eye over proceedings, would be a world away from a coronation tainted by the sadness of her death.”

During a panel called “70 Years of Duty and Friendship” Lady Pamela Hicks, the cousin of the late Duke of Edinburgh, was asked whether she thinks the Queen would ever abdicate her throne, to which Lady Pamela replied: “She will never abdicate.”

There have been speculations and rumours for last few months that the longest-reigning monarch could soon be putting her feet up, and military bigwigs are planning for Prince Charles’ coronation. However, royal fans want to see the Queen as their monarch and pray for her long life.

The Queen’s Jubilee will have a “serious seating issue,” and Meghan will be relegated to the “naughty corner.”

Elizabeth Meghan

Seating arrangements for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration in the summer will be problematic for aides.

In June, the whole royal family will meet in London to commemorate the monarch’s 70th year as Head of State.

Meanwhile, royal analyst Angela Levin feels that seating will be a “major issue,” particularly for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

“They couldn’t have them so close to the Queen, Charles, and William since they’re no longer working royals.”

To reduce tension, all senior royals, including Prince Charles, William, and their spouses, would be placed in a “long front row.”

The pair may eventually be relegated to the “naughty corner” to sit with Prince Andrew. According to Ms Levin, an ideal scenario would be for the Sussexes to marry Andrew’s daughters.

“I would anticipate them to be sitting alongside Princess Eugenie, who they stay close to,” she remarked.

Heather Mcdonald believes Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were “totally awful for one other”

Heather Mcdonald

According to stand-up comedian Heather Mcdonald, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were “totally dreadful for one other.”

According to OK!, the Juicy Scoop podcast presenter gave her thoughts on the former couple’s ongoing defamation fight.

“I think the biggest thing is, they were absolutely awful for each other,” McDonald said.

“At the same time, he fell for a girl that was young, beautiful, manipulative” as they both appeared overly affectionate toward each other.

“When it started to get ugly, they both seemed to have had a very ugly side,” she noted.

Weighing in on the ongoing lawsuit, the Chelsea Lately alum said, “The focus [should be] on the power dynamic of what such a richer, older, more established, powerful Hollywood person that he was over her.”

“They’re [the public] just thinking, did she lie? Was Johnny Depp just a fun drunk? Did he hit her? There’s also just too much evidence to say that she’s a weirdo and she’s lying,” she continued.

“I think when the jury actually goes into the room to deliberate, they’re really gonna have to focus on was this defamation and should either of them be granted any money for it,” she told the outlet.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s absence has ‘everyone humiliated.’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s omission from Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee preparations has allegedly left the whole Firm “utterly horrified.”

Andrew Morton, a royal biographer and novelist, revealed this information with a caution.

“With the Queen as head of state, the Jubilee is both a family and a state event,” he was cited as saying by Express UK.

“The Sussexes are at the family gatherings.” Is it a handshake? Yes, I believe they would have been embarrassed if they had stayed in California.”

“Especially when Harry had paid a flying visit to meet the Queen to Holland on his way to the Invictus Games,” he noted before closing.

Kanye West asserts Kim Kardashian only allowed him to visit three of their children

Kanye kim

Kanye West’s new single True Love has a new attack on Kim Kardashian.

On May 27, the 44-year-old rapper collaborated with XXXTentacion to unleash his caustic hit.

The rapper appeared to be making a joke at his current custody dispute with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

West attacked the reality star for allowing him to meet only three of their children in the song, asking “who watchin’ Chicago?”

“Wait till you see the kids?” I’ll see you tomorrow/ When does the sun set? I’ll see you tomorrow/ Wait, when I pick ’em up, I get the feeling they borrowed/ When I have to return them, scan ’em like a barcode/ No harsh feelings, but these feelings are hard,” he raps in his new single.

“Wait a minute, who got the kids in those ‘What are those?'” / Wait, why can’t they wear Yeezys with their cargos?/ “Y’all know Nikе doesn’t like me, but y’all go it too far/ At least have ’em in some Mike’s, he played for Chicago/ I only see three kids, who watchin’ Chicago?” raps his second stanza.

Furthermore, while serenading, XXXTentacion addresses the tribunal. “True love shouldn’t be this complicated/ I thought I’d die in your arms,” West sings, before adding, “Daddy’s not gone.”

‘No surprises’ for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: ‘Can’t compete with royals’

Surprises

To avoid outshining the Queen at her own wedding, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will allegedly avoid any surprises.

Omid Scobie, author of Finding Freedom, makes this argument in a recent essay for Yahoo!

It read, “As is often the case, the reality is much less severe when you hear that Prince Harry had already spoken with his grandmother about the possibility of not attending Trooping the Colour long before last week’s announcements.”

“I’m told by a source that the Duke of Sussex had actually expressed some time ago that he and Meghan were very keen to be a part of the Jubilee engagements.”

Scarlett Johansson is supported by Marvel directors in her conflict with Disney

Scarlett disney

Marvel filmmakers and brothers Joe and Anthony Russo have backed Scarlett Johansson in her “payment conflict” with Disney.

The Russo brothers expressed their displeasure with Disney’s treatment of Johansson in an interview with ET Canada.

“That was clearly not the proper approach for them to handle the problem. “It was upsetting to us as artists,” Joe said.

Previously, Disney assured the Avengers star that her film Black Widow will be released in theatres, which would “eventually comprise her remuneration for the film.”

However, the company broke their agreement and released the film in both theatres and on OTT platforms on the same day, affecting ticket sales and, eventually, the Lucy star’s compensation.

As a result, the Don Jon actress brought the situation to court and sued the studio with abuse; nevertheless, the conflict was subsequently handled out of court.

Joe said, “The studios like Disney are having a cautious attitude, and they’re attempting to downplay their need for stars.” They’re attempting to push IP to be their star, and in doing so, they’re also attempting to underpay and reduce the need for stars on their projects.”

“Scarlett is a dear friend of ours, and the way it was handled disappointed us.” “We’re relieved it’s over,” Joe said.

‘Elvis:’ Tom Hanks discusses his role as’mercurial’ manager Tom Parker

Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks, a veteran Hollywood actor, recently opened out about portraying Colonel Tom Parker in the forthcoming biopic Elvis.

During the Elvis discussion at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, the Oscar winner, 65, explained why he chose to play an unlikeable character like Parker.

The Cast Away star also addressed how filmmaker Baz Luhrmann persuaded him to portray the guy who found and began Elvis Presley’s career.

“I’m not interested in playing a bad guy just for the sake of, ‘Before I kill you Mr. Bond, perhaps you’d like a tour of my installations.’ That’s okay, I get it, but that’s for other stuff,” said the Forrest Gump actor.

“What Luhrmann tantalized me with was, here was a guy who saw an opportunity to manifest a once-in-a-lifetime talent into a cultural force,” he added.

The star described Parker as a “mercurial and brilliant man who at the same time made sure he lined his own pockets.”

Parker and Presley got together in 1955. The pair worked together up until the singer’s death in 1977. Parker died in 1997 at the age of 87.

The highly-anticipated biopic Elvis will hit the theaters on June 24.

Jennifer Lopez describes ‘terrifying’ panic attack brought on by tiredness

jennifer lopez

Jennifer Lopez described a scary panic episode she suffered in her late twenties as a result of tiredness, which taught her the value of a good night’s sleep.

In her newsletter On The JLo, the Marry Me star described her panic attack in which her body ‘totally immobilised.’

“There was a moment in my life when I used to sleep three to five hours a night,” wrote the actor-singer. “I’d be on set all day, in the studio all night, and on weekends, doing junkets and making videos.” I was in my late twenties and felt I was unbeatable.”

“I was sitting in a trailer,” she said, “and all the labour and stress it brought with it, along with not enough sleep to heal psychologically, caught up with me.”

“I went from feeling fully normal to thinking about what I needed to accomplish that day, and all of a sudden I felt as if I couldn’t move,” she explained, adding that she was “completely frozen” and had no idea what was going on.

“I couldn’t see well, and then the physical symptoms I was experiencing started to worry me, compounding the anxiety,” she wrote. “Now I know it was a classic panic episode caused by weariness, but I’d never heard the word before.”

JLo stated that her security officer drove her to the hospital and that the entire event terrified her, adding, “I felt I was losing my mind.” “I asked the doctor whether I was insane.”

The 52-year-old singing doctor advised her to get seven to nine hours of sleep every night, avoid coffee, and balance working out with job.

“I learned how serious the ramifications of disregarding what my body and mind need to be healthy might be — and that’s where my road to wellness began,” Lopez explained.

“I think of sleep as a tiny time machine,” she continued. You lie down and enter a realm where you maintain yourself, and then you emerge a fresh, younger version of yourself.”

“Sometimes when I wake up, I think, ‘Wow! ‘I just removed ten years off my face!’ “That’s what a good night’s sleep can do for you, and it builds up over time,” she said. “To me, sleep is the most underappreciated beauty secret out there.”
