Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko claims he has been prohibited from leaving the country.

He accused the government of violating a so-called political truce that has been in effect since Russia’s invasion.

Following Russia’s invasion, Ukraine’s parliament banned many pro-Russian parties while allowing others to continue operating under a “political ceasefire,” a tacit agreement that all parties would set aside domestic political differences to unify against the conflict.

Poroshenko’s administration, on the other hand, said that he was “refused to pass the Ukrainian border,” accusing the government of breaking the deal.
