Reham Khan issues apology letter to Aneel Mussarat in defamation case

Reham Khan, the former journalist and Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ex-wife, has issued an apology in UK Court for defamation allegations against British businessman Aneel Mussarat.

According to the details, Reham Khan has alleged that Aneel Mussarat was involved in the secret purchase of the PIA-owned Roosevelt Hotel.

She alleged that the business man got an undue advantage in the alleged sale of the hotel due to his close links with Imran Khan.

However, the apology letter sent by Reham Khan is doing rounds on social media.

The letter states: “I am the operator of Youtube channel Reham Khan official and in a video posted on December 6, 2019, I made reference to Aneel Mussarat and I made a number of comments and insinuations regarding Aneel Mussarat.”

“In seeking to make amends, I have removed the video and I wholly retract my comments and apologize to Mr. Mussarat for any damage or harm which may have been caused to Mr. Mussarat, his businesses, or to the charitable causes he supports. I will not be making any further comment about this matter.”

University of Karachi declares BCom Part I External 2019 result

The Controller of Examinations University of Karachi Dr Syed Zafar Hussain announced the result of the BCom Part-I (External), Annual Examination 2019.

As per the results issued, 2,111 candidates were registered of which 1, 867 students appeared in the exams and 177 candidates were declared pass.

The overall passing percentage stood at 9.48%.

Earlier on November 18, results of MEd (morning) and MEd (evening) — both first and second year — for the annual examination of 2019 announced by the University of Karachi.

According to the details, 14 candidates cleared their exams with an A-1 grade, 142 students received A grades, while 27 candidates were awarded a B-grade. The overall pass percentage remained 90.15%.

Meanwhile, 41 candidates were registered and appeared in the MEd (Evening) First Year Annual Examination 2019 out of which 38 students cleared the exams. The overall pass percentage was 92.68%.

According to Karachi University’s Controller of Examinations Dr Syed Zafar Hussain, around 207 candidates were registered for the MEd (Morning) Annual Examination 2019, out of which only 203 appeared in the exam.

Furthermore, 42 candidates were registered in the MEd (Evening) Second Year Annual Examination 2019, out of which only which 41 students appeared in the exam.

As per the details, one candidate cleared the papers with an A-1 grade, 25 students passed with an A grade, while seven candidates got a C grade. The overall pass percentage was 80.49%.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said a peaceful and stable Afghanistan would help realize regional connectivity and facilitate economic development.

He was talking to Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Najibullah Alikhil who paid a courtesy call on him in Islamabad today.

The Foreign Minister welcomed the recent agreement on rules and procedures between the Afghan parties in Doha and reiterated Pakistan’s continuous support for a peaceful, stable and sovereign Afghanistan.

Referring to the Prime Minister’s landmark visit to Afghanistan, the Foreign Minister remarked that the visit built on the sustained engagements witnessed in the recent months between the two countries.

He said the Shared Vision document issued during the Prime Minister’s visit had laid down the framework for a forward-looking comprehensive bilateral partnership.

Ambassador Alikhil appreciated Pakistan’s positive contribution to the Afghan peace process.

On the other hand, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has urged the world Human Rights bodies to act decisively in ending the human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He said basic and inalienable human rights of the people of IIOJK are being trampled with impunity by India.

The FM added that innocent people of the Occupied Kashmir are suffering systematic and serial violations of their fundamental freedoms.

He reiterated that India’s unilateral decision to revoke Article 370 on August 5 was illegal under international law.
