Fact Check: Did Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman convert to Islam?

With a lavish ceremony with numerous celebrities in attendance, including legendary actor Morgan Freeman, the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar officially began. Along with 22-year-old Qatari disability activist and motivational speaker Ghanim al-Muftah, who read from the Holy Quran, the Oscar-winner gave a performance at the inaugural celebration.

“What unites us here in this moment is so much greater than what divides us. How can we make it last longer than just today?” Freeman said in his message of togetherness. What can we do to extend it past today?

“Everyone is welcome,” said Ghanim Al-Muftah, a disability rights campaigner from Qatar who was born with the uncommon Caudal Regression Syndrome. He appeared beside Freeman.

Following the event, Freeman’s conversion to Islam was widely assumed by Twitterati.

Freeman has previously been the target of false reports pertaining to his religious convictions. In a past episode of “The Story of God with Morgan Freeman,” a National Geographic program, Freeman explored Islam as well as other religions. Similar questions about his religious ties were raised as a result of this.

However, the claim that Freeman converted to Islam was false, according to Misbar, an independent Arabic fact-checking platform.

56-yr-old woman goes viral for lifting heavy weight in saree

In the video, she was also joined by her daughter-in-law.
Humans of Madras uploaded the footage to Instagram.

You may have heard the adage “it’s never too late to learn something” frequently. Well, this woman also provided proof of it. An online video of a woman from Chennai exercising in a saree at the gym has gone viral. Not only that. The woman talked about how she overcame obstacles to maintain her fitness, and the video also showed her working out with her daughter-in-law.

A page on Instagram called Humans of Madras posted the now-viral video. The 56-year-old woman’s tale was told in the video. Her son conducted research to find a solution when she first started experiencing leg and knee pain. He urged her to work out each day. So, at the age of 52, she began working out at her son’s club, Madras Barbells, with her daughter-in-law, performing power lifts, squats, and other exercises. She also exclusively exercises while wearing a saree.

Saif Ali Khan described the dismal box office performance of high-profile movies as “very disappointing” in an interview with a news website. The actor questioned why he had no understanding of why a movie like Vikram Vedha didn’t do well at the box office. He also discussed the enormous amounts of money that are currently paid to prominent performers in movies.

Saif claimed that Vikram Vedha didn’t perform as well as was anticipated. He continued by saying that no one knows today what works and what doesn’t. When asked why the bulk of Bollywood movies don’t do well at the box office, Saif offered his opinion, saying that while people would continue to make movies, prices will fluctuate because some of the ridiculous pricing is truly insane. “We pay people astronomically and the returns have been not good.”

He continued by saying that just 2% of people actually pay to see movies and that if that 2% rose to 20% today, “it could make it a wealthy industry.”

Hera Pheri 3 cast spotted at 53rd IFFI Goa

It appears that Hera Pheri 3 is finally in the works as a new gang is coming together. Having said that, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, and Kartik Aaryan were recently seen interacting at the 53rd IFFI Goa.

Hera Pheri, which debuted in 2000, became an instant popularity with viewers. The original cast of the picture, which was directed by Priyadarshan and written by Neeraj Vora, included Tabu, Om Puri, and Gulshan Grover in addition to Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal.

Kartik has taken Akshay’s position, however Suniel Shetty had already revealed that he had been contacted for a different part. According to Shetty, Akshay Kumar cannot be replaced as the star of the Hera Pheri movie series. Getting Akshay back in the movie, he informed the portal, would be the best outcome because no one could ever replace him. “The makers are in talks with Kartik for a completely different character. So, there’s no argument.”

The actor continued by saying that there would always be a hole in the movie because Akshay isn’t in it. He admitted that while he is preoccupied with his next show, Dharavi Bank, he is actually unaware of the happenings. “I have had no time to sit down and work on all this. After November 19, I’ll sit down and understand and talk to Akki and others and see what happened.”

Fans expressed their disappointment at the latest development and called for Akshay Kumar to return to the film when it was revealed that Kartik Aaryan would be appearing in the sequel rather than Akki.

Akshay had previously stated in response to the same situation that he had pulled out on his own. He continued by saying that Hera Pheri was a part of him and had many wonderful memories of him. He acknowledged that he shared the regret that part 3 had not been produced after all these years and said that he had been given the role but had turned it down because of his dissatisfaction with the screenplay.
