Actor Nikki Tamboli says she is reading multiple screenplays to find the appropriate character for her Bollywood debut after developing confidence through her performance on the small screen.
“In my opinion, there is no reason to stay for the good if you can have the best. Why settle for stars when you may go for the moon? she asks, describing the idea that led to her choice.
“I feel I have the confidence to embrace newer difficulties, and it’s time to hit back hard,” the 26-year-old continues. Though I’ve been considering my possibilities and looking at scripts, I needed something that I could relate to and envision myself doing. Only waiting on the ideal role.
After participating in the reality competition Bigg Boss, Nikki Tamboli became well-known and appeared in a number of music videos. She is now anticipating playing in the big Bollywood game. “I would want to work on an action movie. I adore motion. Whole Bollywood drama is also. I’m hoping to play a dual role, and a biopic is obviously something I’d like to do. I like to push myself. As an actor, this is who I aspire to be like, she says.
Following actor Radhika Madan’s remark about the demanding work environment of the small screen, the argument over performers using television as a stepping stone to enter Bollywood recently gained steam.
When you question Tamboli about the idea that TV is used as a stepping stone, she responds, “I don’t think that’s accurate.”
“Some actors view TV as their primary form of work. They are recognized for spending their entire lives as television actors. Others, on the other hand, play the lead roles in movies. I believe luck also plays a role. If an actor gets a movie after putting in a lot of effort in a television show, it does not necessarily follow that they utilized it as a stepping stone, she continues.
The actor says, speaking candidly about how working in reality TV shows helped her prepare for Bollywood, “Working in reality TV shows provided me the opportunity to be myself and for everyone to know the true me. My career in the big screen was kind of paved by the positive exposure and recognition I received from it.
“I have tons of things in the pipeline and can’t wait to share it with everyone,” she ends with excitement.
