With just six episodes of the ground-breaking drama Sar e Rah, we witnessed a variety of people emerge and excel in their various roles. Everyone noticed Muneeb Butt as Sarang the most, and they all loved his portrayal of an intersex person. But, it also generated a great deal of debate.
Maria B, a renowned fashion designer, came forward to share a clip from the show and labelled Sar e Rah a plan to market trans identities in Pakistan. The Nabeel Zafar and the young Sarang scenario stood out and received a lot of negative feedback on social media.

Muneeb Butt had simply noted that Sarang was an intersex figure and not a Trans person in response to the entire topic. He has finally addressed Maria B’s assertion that Sar e Rah is part of an agenda and made clear his reasoning for adopting that persona. Muneeb declared that he would not work on any agendas and that he is a practising Muslim as well. If the character had a flaw, he would not have brought it up because even his own family would not support it, let alone the general public. He said the following:
