The first teaser trailer for Florence Pugh’s much-awaited return as Yelena Belova in Marvel’s highly anticipated Thunderbolts has been released. The film also includes a diverse ensemble of characters, including Taskmaster (played by Olga Kurylenko), Ghost (portrayed by Hannah John-Kamen), and John Walker (portrayed by Wyatt Russell). June 2, 2025 is the scheduled release date of Thunderbolts, a film directed by Jake Schreier and produced by Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios.

The film showcases morally ambiguous characters as they face a powerful new villain. Marvel fans’ excitement is already evident, as they could not hold back from responding to the trailer on social media. One enthusiast exclaimed, “Now this is how you make a Marvel production!!! 👏” Another added, “This film is basically ‘Underrated Actors: The Movie’—genuinely looks so good,” highlighting the focus on villainous characters. Fans also appreciated that the story is set on Earth rather than in the multiverse. “Gotta say I’m actually surprised how good this looks. It’s refreshing to see a Marvel movie where they’re more low profile,” noted one viewer.

Not all of the feedback, though, was favorable. Critics voiced concerns over Marvel’s recent releases, with one stating, “I long for the days when Marvel movies didn’t feel like they hired someone from Comedy Central.” All things considered, fans are still excited about Thunderbolts and are anticipating this new anti-hero movie.

Florence Pugh Says People Are Scared Of Her Body Confidence

Florence Pugh is fully embracing her body as it is. In an interview, the actress known for her roles in Black Widow and other projects expressed her lack of fear in displaying her skin, stating, “I’m not trying to hide the cellulite on my thigh.”

Famous for her bold choices on the red carpet, Pugh recently bared it all in a nude scene for Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which premiered last month.

Florence Pugh elaborated on her body-positive stance, saying, “I speak about my body in this manner because I have no intention of concealing the cellulite on my thigh or the softness between my arm and my breast: I’d prefer to be completely open.”

Addressing moments of criticism, she further commented, “What I find most intimidating are instances where individuals have taken issue with me revealing ‘too much’ of myself.”

In July of the previous year, Florence Pugh faced scrutiny for wearing a daring Valentino gown that exposed her nipple during the brand’s Haute Couture show in Rome.

Reflecting on the backlash, she conveyed, “What unsettles people is the liberty I possess; the fact that I am at ease and content. For a long time, undermining women by commenting on their bodies has yielded results.”

“We are presently in a period where many individuals are saying, ‘I don’t care,'” Pugh added. “Regrettably, we’ve become so fearful of the human body that we cannot even observe my two small, adorable nipples beneath fabric without attaching a sexual connotation to it.”

She concluded by emphasizing the need to reinforce the idea that women’s bodies exist for numerous reasons beyond the sexual, saying, “We must continue reminding everyone that women’s bodies serve multiple purposes.”

Florence Pugh Opens Up About Christopher Nolan’s Apology To Her

Florence Pugh recently provided insight into why Christopher Nolan, the director of “Oppenheimer,” issued an apology to her. In the film released last month, Florence Pugh portrays psychiatrist and physician Jean Tatlock, a character with a pivotal role in Nolan’s production. Tatlock was the love interest of J Robert Oppenheimer, portrayed by Cillian Murphy in the lead role, while also being depicted as a romantic partner of Katherine Puening, played by Emily Blunt.

Florence Pugh, known for her role in “The White Lotus,” shared her experience with MTV UK, stating, “I didn’t really know what was going on or what it was that was being made.” Reflecting on Nolan’s approach, she recounted, “Except I knew that Chris Nolan really, really wanted me to know that it wasn’t a very big role, and he understands if I don’t want to come near it.” The 27-year-old actress added, “And I was like, ‘Doesn’t matter. Even if I’m a coffee maker at a café in the back of the room, let’s do it.’”

During the filming of Zach Braff’s 2023 drama “A Good Person” in New York, Pugh met Nolan. She recalled, “I remember he apologised about the size of the role. I was like, ‘Please don’t apologise,’” she said. Pugh further disclosed, “And then he said, ‘We’ll send you the script, and honestly, you just read it and decide if it’s like… I completely understand the sizing thing.’”

Reflecting on her decision to join the project, Pugh shared, “And I remember that evening when I got the script being like, ‘I don’t need to… I know I’m going to do it.’”
