In a candid conversation with Indian Express, Ananya Panday shared her perspective on handling online criticism and negativity. Having faced her fair share of trolling and even being embroiled in the nepotism debate, Ananya has developed a pragmatic approach to dealing with such challenges. Ayushmann, who astonished audiences with his woman’s voice portrayal in the 2019 hit “Dream Girl,” is set to don a woman’s persona once again. In a recent interview, Ananya candidly shared her jealousy regarding Ayushmann’s character Pooja in “Dream Girl 2.”

During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ananya was asked about any insecurities she may have felt compared to Ayushmann’s Pooja. During an interview, Ayushmann expressed his initial reservations about Ananya’s fit for Dream Girl 2 due to her urban background. He candidly revealed, “I was always thinking that she’s an urban girl, and how will she get accustomed to the milieu of Mathura, a city from tier-2 India. But I think she adapted really well. We had a dialect coach Yash Chaturvedi, who helped us with the accent. Every 10 km, the accent changes in our country.”

Ayushmann went on to explain how Ananya proved him wrong by mastering the dialect and delivering an impressive performance in the film. He mentioned, “But she was bang on with the accent which is great. If you’re a Bombay girl, it’s tough to catch those accents. I speak and think in Hindi, so it becomes easy for me. During discussions about his preparation, Ayushmann shared insights into how his prior experience as a radio jockey greatly contributed. He disclosed that he engaged in prank calls impersonating a woman while working at the radio station. Additionally, he revealed that he assumed the role of his girlfriend’s female friend when her father answered their landline.

“My tenure as a radio jockey and my involvement in theater truly assisted me, particularly in this film. I would make prank calls as a woman during my time at the radio station. Furthermore, when I called my first girlfriend, I would feign to be her female friend if her father picked up the landline,” stated the 38-year-old actor.

Ayushmann Khurrana also touched on whether Dream Girl 2 would differ from the initial instalment. According to him, they successfully enhanced the humour in the second part, making it even funnier than the first one.

Ayushmann added, “Ekta (Kapoor) and I wanted it to be funnier than the previous part and I really feel that we have managed to do that. It’s actually version 2.0….double fun.”

Dream Girl, released in 2019, proved to be a blockbuster, prompting the decision to create a sequel. Dream Girl 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on August 25 and features a talented ensemble including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and more.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Pooja teases Ranbir Kapoor for marrying “Aaila” in Dream Girl 2

Ayushmann Khurrana has shared a new teaser for his upcoming film Dream Girl 2.
Dream Girl 2 teaser shows him imitating Ranbir Kapoor’s voice, with Pooja in a backless blouse and lehenga.
In the teaser, that looks much similar to an earlier one launched after the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.

A new teaser for Ayushmann Khurrana’s next movie Dream Girl 2 has been released. Ayushmann’s honey-voiced Pooja can be seen speaking on the phone with Ranbir Kapoor in the trailer. Yet, it appears that Ayushmann was also the one mimicking Ranbir’s voice.

Ayushmann’s Pooja can be seen wearing a colorful lehenga and a backless top in the teaser, which is very similar to one that was previously released following the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. He says, “Hey main Pooja bol rahi hu. Aap kaun (Hello I am Pooja, who is this)?” The caller answers, “Tumne meri awaaz nahi pehchaani (you did not recognize my voice),” and then hangs up.

Ayushmann brands Ranbir a liar and makes fun of him for promising to marry Pooja but choosing to wed “Ailaa (Alia)” in place of her when he sees him on the other side. Suddenly, a voice that closely resembles Alia Bhatt says “RK,” “Kaun hai RK? Who is RK? Kisse baat kar rahe ho tom? To whom are you speaking)? It’s his “Bhatinde waali bua,” RK informs her.

Ayushmann addresses him as “Jhoote, makkaar mil kab rahe ho” (Liar, fraud, when are you meeting me). He informs Pooja that he will be seeing her on Holi to color her. On Holi, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, starring Ranbir, will be released. “Aur main 7 July ko aarahi hu,” Pooja informs him. “And I’m coming on July 7 to exhibit my colors,” the speaker says.

Pooja and Pathaan were previously seen talking on the phone in a promo. A voice wishing Pooja a happy Valentine’s day can be heard that sounds a lot like Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Pooja is then informed that Jawan will soon be released, and he inquires about her planned arrival time at the theater.

The sequel to the hugely popular movie Dream Girl, which was released in 2019, is Balaji Telefilms Dream Girl 2. At the box office, the first installment was a huge success. The movie also features Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manjot Singh, and Vijay Raaz in addition to Ayushmann.
