RAWALPINDI: The closing ceremony of Pak-Turkiye Joint Exercise Ataturk-XIII in the Counter Terrorism domain was conducted between the Armies of Pakistan and the Republic of Turkiye at Cherat, Pakistan.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), two-week-long Exercise commenced on 10 February 2025. 2x Combat Teams from the Special Services Group, Pakistan Army and 36x all ranks from Special Forces, Republic of Turkiye participated in the Exercise.

Commander 11 Corps attended the Closing Ceremony as Chief Guest. Brigadier General Ahmet ASIK from the Republic of Turkiye also witnessed the Closing Ceremony. The troops displayed the highest standards of professional excellence during the conduct.

The exercise was aimed at refining professional skills through joint training besides harnessing the historic military-to-military relations among the friendly countries. Participating in troops benefited immensely from joint training/ exercise.

RAWALPINDI: Security forces on Saturday killed 15 terrorists (khwarij) while four Pakistan Army officials were also martyred in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence based operation was conducted by the Security Forces in general area Hathala, Dera Ismail Khan District, on reported presence of terrorists (khwarij).

During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists (Khwarij) location and resultantly, nine terrorists (khwarij) including ring leaders HVT Farman @Saqib, Kharji Amanullah @Toori, Kharji Saeed @Liaqat and Kharji Bilal were sent to hell.

The killed terrorists (khwarij) were involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area and were highly wanted by the Law Enforcement Agencies.

In another operation conducted in general area Miran Shah, North Waziristan District, Six terrorists (khwarij) were effectively neutralized by the security forces.

However, during intense fire exchange, 21-years old Lieutenant Muhammad Hassaan Arshaf resident of District Lahore leading his troops from front, fought gallantly and embraced Shahadat along with his three men.

The three soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice include 39-years old Naib Subedar Muhammad Bilal resident of District Dera Ismail khan, 27-years old Sepoy Farhat Ullah resident of District Lakki Marwat and 29-years old Sepoy Himat Khan resident of District Mohmand.

Security forces killed three terrorist in Mastung, Pak Army major, sepoy martyred

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed an Afghan national involved in terrorism inside Pakistan during an operation in the general area of Datta Khel of North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the individual was later identified as Luqman Khan alias Nusrat (Afghan National), son of Kamal Khan, resident of Spera District, Khost Province, Afghanistan.

Interim Afghan government authorities are being approached to take over the body of the individual, being an Afghan citizen.

Such incidents are irrefutable evidence of the involvement of Afghan Nationals in terrorist activities in Pakistan.

The interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfil its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for perpetrating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.

The COAS said that Indian atrocities and rising Hindutva extremism only strengthens the resolve of Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan will always stand by them in their just and legitimate cause against state-sponsored repression and oppression.

23 terrorists killed, 18 soldiers martyred in Balochistan operations

RAWALPINDI: The  Security forces on Saturday killed 23 terrorists in two seperate operations in Balochistan province.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR),  18 Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers embraced martyrdom during the Mangocher operation last night, when terrorists had attempted to establish roadblocks in the general area of Mangocher.

The terrorists attempted to establish road blocks in general area Mangocher, Kalat District of Balochistan on night 31 January/ 1 February.

On behest of inimical and hostile forces, this cowardly act of terrorism was aimed at disrupting the peaceful environment of Balochistan by targeting mainly the innocent civilians.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies(LEA) were immediately mobilized, who successfully thwarted the evil design of terrorists and sent twelve terrorists to hell, ensuring security and protection of the local populace.

However, during the conduct of operations, eighteen brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat.

In a follow-up sanitisation operation in Harnai on Saturday, added the military’s media wing, 11 terrorists were gunned down, bringing the total number of killed militants to 23.

Ensuing sanitization operations are being conducted and the perpetrators, facilitators and abettors of this heinous and cowardly act, will be brought to justice.

Security forces of Pakistan in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.

President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned a terrorists’ attack in District Kalat and expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of 18 security personnel.

The president paid tribute to the martyred personnel and prayed for their high ranks and for the bereaved families to bear the losses with fortitude. He also praised the security forces for their timely action and by sending 12 terrorists to hell.

President Zardari observed that terrorist elements wanted to disrupt the peace of Balochistan and reiterated that security forces would continue their operations to eliminate enemies of the country.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for their bravery in eliminating Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan District.

The president and prime minister paid homage to Major Hamza Israr and Sepoy Muhammad Naeem who embraced martyrdom while valiantly confronting the Khawarij terrorists during the operation, the President’s and Prime Minister’s Office in separate news releases said.

The president and prime minister praised the bravery and patriotism of Major Hamza Israr Shaheed and Sepoy Muhammad Naeem Shaheed and expressed heartfelt grief over the martyrdom of the two valiant sons of the soil.

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed sympathy with the families of martyrs and prayed for patience to bear their loss. “Security forces will continue operations until terrorists are completely eliminated.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif prayed for the high ranks of the martyrs and patience for their bereaved families.

“We will not let the great sacrifices of the sons of the nation go in vain and will destroy the nefarious intentions of anti-state elements,” the prime minister said.

RAWALPINDI:  An Afghan National, involved in terrorism inside Pakistan, was killed in Sambaza area of Zhob District of Balochistan.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), individual was identified as 48-year old Muhammad Khan Ahmedkhel, Son of Haji Qasim Dawran Khan, resident of Village Bilorai, District Wazekhwa, Paktika Province, Afghanistan. His dead body was handed over to IAG officials on January 20 after necessary procedural formalities.

ISLAMABAD: A contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) comprising JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter jets alongside dedicated air and ground crew has landed at King Abdul Aziz Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the multinational combat exercise “Spears of Victory-2025.”

“For this International deployment, PAF fighters flew non stop from home base in Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, carrying out in flight Air-to-Air refuelling; showcasing long range employment capabilities of JF-17 Block-III Aircraft,” an Inter Services Public Relations(ISPR)  said.

During the conduct of the exercise, PAF pilots flying AESA & Extended Range BVR Equipped JF-17 Thunder will be pitched against participating Air Forces equipped with a wide variety of sophisticated Combat Aircraft.

The exercise is witnessing participation of fighter jets and Combat support elements from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bahrain, France, Greece, Qatar, UAE, UK and USA.

Royal Saudi Air Force is holding the fifth cycle of the exercise, which provides an excellent opportunity to bolster interoperability within the participating Air Forces in the back drop of technological advancement, increasing complexity in Airpower application & shared aerial defence challenges.

Security forces killed eight terrorists trying to infiltrate through Pak-Afghan border

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 22 terrorists in Tirah area of Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since December 14, 2024.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), numerous terrorist incidents have occurred in general area Tirah, Khyber District against security forces as well as the innocent civilians, resulting in several casualties.

In response to these heinous acts, security forces are conducting extensive Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) in the area against the Khwarij(terrorist).

During various IBOs conducted since 14 December 2024, Security Forces have so far, successfully neutralized 22 Khwarij(terrorists), while eighteen Khawrij(terrorists) have been injured.

The IBOs will continue till peace in the area is restored and khawrij (terrorists) are eliminated, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

On the other hand, President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces for killing 22 Khawarij terrorists in operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The president, in a press statement lauded the security forces for eliminating terrorists during intelligence-based operations in district Khyber.

He said the security forces killed 22 terrorists, and injured 18 others in different actions.

He vowed to continue operations against the terrorists till complete elimination of terrorism.

The successful operations of Pakistan’s security forces in combating terrorism are commendable, the president said adding that “Our determination to eliminate terrorist elements and defend the country will remain unwavering”.

RAWALPINDI: Security forces on Wednesday killed four Khawarij (terrorists) in an operation in North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the night of January 14 and 15, the forces conducted an intelligence-based operation(IBO) in Spinwam area of ​​North Waziristan, in which four Khawarij(terrorists) were killed.

Security forces recovered arms and ammunition from the possession of the Khawarij(terrorists).

The terrorists were reportedly involved in multiple attacks against security forces and in targeted killings of civilians.

A follow-up sanitization operation is underway to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining threats. “Security forces of Pakistan remain resolute in eradicating terrorism from the country,” stated the ISPR.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif  paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating four terrorists in an anti-terror operation in Spinwam area of North Waziristan.
