KARACHI: To create awareness among general public against drug abuse, Regional Directorate Commander Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Sindh Brigadier Umar Farooq and Joint Director ANF Sindh Colonel Shakir participated in anti-drug awareness walk organized by the Graceful Grammar Higher Secondary School Karachi.

To promote the  culture of healthy activities, students of the school participated in various games and exercises.

The participants were unanimous in their call against drug abuse and urged all stakeholders to play their role in fight against drug abuse.

At the conclusion of the event, Brigadier Umar Farooq appreciated the efforts of participants and urged all stakeholders of the society to play their role in fight against drug abuse.

RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested 12 drug peddlers and recovered 1416 kg drugs from their possession.

ANF Spokesman said informed that 500 grams of hashish and three kg of opium were recovered from the possession of three suspects arrested from a bus at Chongi number 26, Islamabad.

18 kg hashish was recovered from three suspects coming from Quetta to Karachi on a bus intercepted on RCD Road Hub.

A total of 48 kg hashish was recovered from two accused going in a vehicle and a rickshaw, netted from Ring Road Peshawar.

Three kg of heroin, 1370 grams Ice and 7 kg of 200 grams of hashish were recovered from a house in Rawat.

950 kg hashish was recovered from a vehicle intercepted near Yaro Chowk Pishin while an accused was also arrested during the operation.

55 kg hashish was recovered from a vehicle near Jamshoro Toll Plaza Sukkur and two accused were arrested.

ANF also recovered 54 kg of hashish from the possession of an accused rounded up near Sher Shah Karachi.

105.5 kg hashish was recovered in two separate operations conducted in an uninhabited area of Zakhakhel, Khyber.

10.8 kg hashish concealed for smuggling was recovered near Meetha Khan, Kohat while 160 kg heroin hidden in bushes was recovered from an uninhabited area of Qila Abdullah.

RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 341 kg drugs and arrested four drug peddlers across the country.

ANF Spokesman, informed that in an operation 4.4 kg hashish was recovered from the possession of an accused resident of Multan arrested from F-11 sector, Islamabad.

In another operation, 156.6 kg hashish was recovered from a vehicle intercepted near Lakpass Toll Plaza Quetta. Charras was concealed in secret cavities of the vehicle. A resident of Musa Khel was arrested during the operation.

In third operation, 180 kg hashish was recovered from a house in Orakzai. Charras was stored in the house to smuggle to different cities of Punjab. Five ecstasy tablets were recovered from a local resident netted near an educational institution in DI Khan. The accused during interrogation confessed his involvement in supplying drugs to the students of Gomal University and various other educational institutions.

In fifth operation at Jinnah International Airport, 3020 intoxicated tablets concealed in a passenger’s trolley bag were recovered. The accused, a resident of Karachi, was leaving for Madinah by flight number G-9543.

RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested 89 drug peddlers including two foreigners and recovered 1698.343 kg of drugs worth US$ 38.607 million internationally.

According to an ANF spokesman, the seized drugs comprised 220.567 kg Opium, 49.704 kg Heroin, 1387.648 kg Hashish, 0.940 kg Cocaine, 29.584 kg Methamphetamine (Ice), nine kg Ketamine, 0.056 Grams Weed, 0.596 grams Ecstasy Tablets (652 tabs), 0.216 grams Lexotanil tablets (900 tabs), 0.032 grams Zolp Tablets (200 Tabs) and 20 kg suspected material.

ANF Balochistan recovered 665.37 kg of drugs and 20 kg of suspected material in nine operations and arrested six accused besides impounding four vehicles. The seized drugs comprised five kg of Opium, 652 kg of Hashish, 8.340 kg of Heroin and 30 grams of Methamphetamine (Ice).

ANF Punjab recovered 313.629 kg of drugs in 18 operations and arrested 15 accused including a woman besides impounding eight vehicles. The seized drugs comprised 168 Kg of Opium, 10.374 Kg of Heroin, 132.240 Kg of Hashish, 940 grams of Cocaine and 2.075 Kg of Methamphetamine (Ice).

ANF KPK recovered 315.028 Kg of drugs in 26 operations while arrested 22 persons including a woman and impounded 6 vehicles. The seized drugs comprised 22.067 Kg Opium, 12.600 Kg Heroin, 271.450 Kg Hashish, 8.720 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice), 191 Grams Ecstasy Tablets (324 Tabs) and a pistol along with 10 rounds. ANF Sindh recovered 281.863 Kg of drugs in 16 operations and arrested 18 accused including a woman.

The seized drugs comprised 12.550 Kg Heroin, 250.400 Kg Hashish, 9.580 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice), 9 Kg Ketamine, 0.181 Grams Ecstasy Tablets (193 Tabs), 120 Grams Lexotanil Tablets (600 Tabs) and 0.032 Grams Zolp Tablets (200 Tabs).

ANF North recovered 122.453 Kg of drugs in 23 operations while arrested 28 persons including 5 women, and 2 foreigners (Maldivian Nationals) involved in drugs smuggling and impounded 6 vehicles. The seized drugs comprised 25.500 Kg Opium, 5.840 Kg Heroin, 81.558 Kg Hashish, 9.179 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice), 0.056 Grams Weed and 0.320 Grams Ecstasy Tablets (135 x Tabs) and 4 Pistols.

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted an operation at the Rawalpindi Railway Station and recovered hashish and ice hidden in the engine of the train while foiling a drug smuggling attempt.

According to the details, the railway employees were found involved in drug smuggling. The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled the drug smuggling attempt while taking action at the Rawalpindi Railway Station.

ANF ​​spokesman said that 12 kg hashish and 1 kg ice hidden in the engine of the train have been recovered.

The spokesperson said that during the operation, the driver and assistant driver of the train were arrested on the spot for drug smuggling.

According to ANF, the railway employees resident of Peshawar were smuggling drugs by hiding them in the engine room of the train.

ANF Headquarters spokesman informed that 24.8 kg hashish was recovered from an accused, resident of Kohat arrested on Super Highway Karachi. On the pointation of the accused, a co-accused, resident of Karachi was also arrested.

In another operation at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi Courier Office, ANF recovered 180 grams Ice drug from a parcel booked for Dubai. 30 kg hashish concealed in doors of a vehicle was recovered on Sibi Road Quetta. During the operation, an accused, resident of Naseerabad was arrested.

Drugs concealed for the purpose of smuggling were recovered in Chagai and Kach districts. 25 kg hashish, 8 kg heroin, 1 kg opium, 30 grams ice drug and 20 kg prohibited materials were recovered.

RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested nine drug peddlers and recovered 212 kg drugs from their possession in countrywide raids.

ANF spokesman said that 76.8 kg hashish and 40.7 kg opium were recovered from a vehicle near M-1, Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad. During the operation, two accused residents of Islamabad were arrested. In another operation in Bahria Town Phase-1, ANF recovered 100 grams of cocaine from a resident going in a vehicle. On the plantation of the accused, two more facilitators were also arrested.

In the third operation, 2.3 kg of hashish concealed in a car on GT Road Gujarat was recovered. During the operation, two accused residents of Nowshera and Swat were arrested.

The spokesman informed that in the fourth operation, 200 grams of Ice drug was recovered from a resident near Sialkot University. An accused, resident of South Waziristan who was going to Sharjah by flight number PA-812 was arrested at Multan Airport. 115 grams of hashish concealed in the shoes and walnut shells was recovered.

240 Ecstasy tablets were recovered from a parcel at a courier office in Hayatabad. The recovered tablets were being smuggled to Multan by hiding them in a juicer blender. 5 kg hashish, 6 kg Ice and 80 kg crystals were recovered from a vehicle and a house in the Pasni area in Balochistan.

RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 39 kilograms of drugs and arrested nine drug peddlers including an Afghan national.

Spokesman of ANF informed that in an operation conducted near Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad, ANF recovered five kg charras from a car and netted two accused including a woman. In the second operation, four suspects including two women residents of Bhakkar were arrested at Multan International Airport while a total of 1650 grams of Ice drug was recovered from the bags of the accused, going to Saudi Arabia by flight number PA-870.

In the third operation, an Afghan citizen and a resident of Peshawar were arrested near Kot Abdul Malik Toll Plaza. 1030 grams of heroin and 440 grams of Ice were recovered from the vehicle of the accused. In the fourth operation, one kg of Ice drug was recovered from the possession of a passenger, traveling in a bus stopped on Sheikh Sarwar Road DG Khan.

In the fifth operation conducted in the Nokundi area, 30 kg of opium was recovered which was stored to supply to another group.

ANF spokesman said 45.6 kg hashish and 12 kg opium were recovered from a vehicle intercepted near Motorway Toll Plaza Khanewal. A resident of Islamabad was smuggling drugs by hiding them in secret cavities of a car.

In another operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport, 53 cocaine-filled capsules were recovered from the possession of a passenger. The accused had reached Lahore from Muscat by flight number PK-230, he said.

The spokesman informed that in a joint operation conducted by ANF and Pakistan Rangers Punjab in Kasur, four suspects were arrested while 7 kg heroin was recovered from the possession of the accused, residents of Lahore and Kasur.

In the fourth operation at Sialkot International Airport, 50 Ice and 50 hashish-filled capsules were recovered from the possession of a passenger. The accused, a resident of Pakpattan, was leaving for Doha by flight number QR-631. Nine kg of hashish was recovered from a resident arrested from Ghazar Taos Bala Bazaar.

In a joint operation, ANF and FC Balochistan seized 40 kg of Ice drug from five parcels recovered from a bus intercepted at Luck Pass check post. Drugs were being smuggled to Karachi under the guise of vehicle spare parts.

In the seventh operation, 25 kg of hashish concealed for smuggling near Padrak, Pasni area was recovered.

RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF)  has recovered 118 kilograms(kg) drugs and arrested four drug peddlers during five operations.

ANF Spokesman said in an operation 86 cocaine-filled capsules weighing one kg were recovered from the possession of a foreign national woman arrested at Jinnah International Airport Karachi. The accused had reached Karachi by flight number WY-323 from East African country Burundi.

In second operation, 7 kg of hashish was recovered from an accused, resident of Qamber Shahdad Kot area near Shikarpur Sukkur.

In third operation, 24 kg hashish and 18 kg opium were recovered from secret cavities of a vehicle intercepted on Ring Road Peshawar. An accused resident of Narowal who was trying to smuggle drugs to Punjab was arrested during the operation.

An owner of a private courier company was arrested during an operation near Wapda Town Lahore while over 3.6 kg Ice drug was seized from a parcel recovered from the vehicle of the accused. The Ice was tactfully concealed in the fittings of the PRC pipes. The accused confessed to facilitate the drug smugglers.

In fifth operation, 65 kg of hashish concealed for smuggling was recovered from an uninhabited area in Gwadar.

RAWALPINDI: Three Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) jawans have been injured in an encounter with drug smugglers in Quetta city of Balochsitan province.

ANF Spokesman said a raid was conducted at a hotel near Western Bypass Quetta on a complaint against drug selling by local drug suppliers. He said, the accused used to sell drugs under the guise of a hotel.

During the operation, the accused opened fire on the ANF raiding party and three jawans were injured during the exchange of fire with the accused. A truck driver was also injured in the firing by the accused, he informed.

The accused managed to escape from the scene leaving behind a bag, he said adding, on checking, 4 kg hashish was recovered from the bag.

Spokesman said ANF foiled a drug smuggling bid through a luxury vehicle and recovered 30 kg heroin recovered from a Toyota Land Cruiser intercepted near Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad.

During the operation, five 30-bore pistols with magazines were also recovered. Two accused residents of Khyber and Peshawar were arrested on the spot.

In another operation, 14.4 kg hashish was recovered from a vehicle near Qamar Deen Park Lahore while two accused were arrested. On the plantation of the arrested person, two other accused including a woman were also arrested.

In the third operation, 9.6 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of a bike rider.

Similarly, an Afghan resident was arrested during a raid on a house near Yaro Railway Track in Quetta. 2 kg of Ice drug 190 litres of hydrochloric acid and different types of prohibited powder were recovered from the house which was being used to store drugs.

KARACHI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Port Control Unit team foiled an attempt to smuggle special chemicals used for aircraft and large quantities of expensive electronic items at Karachi International Container Terminal.

Spokesperson of ANF, the value of imported goods is more than one and a half billion rupees.

According to the spokesman, the ANF team searched a container on suspicion of drug smuggling, and a large number of non-custom items were seized in the container. The non-custom goods were being smuggled into Pakistan under the guise of household items and commodities.

The laptops, electronic cigarettes, watches, hard drives, tablets, and gutka pan masala were recovered from the container.

More than five hundred bottles of oil and chemicals used in aircrafts were also recovered from the container.

The ANF spokesman said that on intelligence information, a car was stopped near DHA Lahore. The accused in the car drove away from the spot instead of stopping the vehicle, on which the vehicle was chased and the accused crashed the vehicle on the footpath, after which the accused was arrested on the spot.
