Being a celebrity comes with its share of ups and downs, and Ananya Panday, known for her roles in movies like Student Of The Year 2, is no stranger to both admiration and online trolling. As she gears up for her upcoming project, Dream Girl 2 alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Ananya recently discussed the impact of social media trolling on her.

In a candid conversation with Indian Express, Ananya Panday shared her perspective on handling online criticism and negativity. Having faced her fair share of trolling and even being embroiled in the nepotism debate, Ananya has developed a pragmatic approach to dealing with such challenges. She emphasized the importance of differentiating between constructive feedback and trolling.

Ananya revealed that she remains receptive to constructive criticism, always striving to learn and improve as an actor. However, she has learned not to invest too much energy in trolling. “When someone says ‘you can do this’ or ‘do this in a different way,’ then I always accept it. I don’t ever want to stop learning and growing. You have to be malleable as an actor but when it comes to trolling, I try not to pay too much heed to it,” she explained.

Addressing the question of whether online trolling affects her emotionally, Ananya acknowledged that while she doesn’t let it deeply impact her as an actor, it does affect her as a human being. She underlined the fact that actors, despite their public personas, are also individuals with feelings. “People forget that actors are also people. So, it does affect me but I think it would affect anyone. But I am not going to sit and say ‘poor me’,” she asserted.

As she prepares for Dream Girl 2, a comedy-drama directed by Raaj Shandilya, where she shares the screen with Ayushmann Khurrana, Ananya Panday’s stance on dealing with online negativity offers a glimpse into the resilience that many celebrities must foster in the face of both admiration and criticism. Drawing attention across social media, the trailer is garnering immense love.

Ayushmann, who astonished audiences with his woman’s voice portrayal in the 2019 hit “Dream Girl,” is set to don a woman’s persona once again. In a recent interview, Ananya candidly shared her jealousy regarding Ayushmann’s character Pooja in “Dream Girl 2.”

During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ananya was asked about any insecurities she may have felt compared to Ayushmann’s Pooja. Light-heartedly, she responded, “Don’t you think I’m pretty and hot?” Ayushmann chimed in, saying, “Inspiration came from Ananya; Pooja aimed to match Ananya Panday’s benchmark look.” To this, Ananya retorted, “She has not only matched it but gone beyond.”

Even during promotions, it was always, ‘The lovely, the beautiful, the stunning Ayushmann Khurrana, and oh yes, Ananya Panday.’ I’ve never heard a guy receive such praise.”

Dream Girl 2, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, is set to hit theatres soon, marking their first collaboration. The trailer and the initial song have already been unveiled, showcasing the captivating chemistry between the lead pair. While Ayushmann was a part of the first instalment, Ananya is taking over from actress Nushrratt Bharuccha in this spiritual sequel. In a recent conversation, Ayushmann shared his initial uncertainty about Ananya’s suitability for the world of Dream Girl 2.

During an interview, Ayushmann expressed his initial reservations about Ananya’s fit for Dream Girl 2 due to her urban background. He candidly revealed, “I was always thinking that she’s an urban girl, and how will she get accustomed to the milieu of Mathura, a city from tier-2 India. But I think she adapted really well. We had a dialect coach Yash Chaturvedi, who helped us with the accent. Every 10 km, the accent changes in our country.”

Ayushmann went on to explain how Ananya proved him wrong by mastering the dialect and delivering an impressive performance in the film. He mentioned, “But she was bang on with the accent which is great. If you’re a Bombay girl, it’s tough to catch those accents. I speak and think in Hindi, so it becomes easy for me. But she’s done a great job in the film. And we’ve seen that in the past also, in Pati Patni Aur Woh. She’s already done a film based in Uttar Pradesh.”

Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures, Dream Girl 2 is anticipated to be a comedic gem. The movie boasts a strong supporting cast including Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Manjot Singh, and others. Ayushmann will be portraying two distinct characters, Karam and Pooja, and is eager to entertain the audience when the film releases on August 25th.

Ayushmann Khurrana Shares Insight Into His ‘Dream Girl’ Character

Ayushmann Khurrana has unveiled his method of preparing for the role of Pooja in the movie Dream Girl.

During discussions about his preparation, Ayushmann shared insights into how his prior experience as a radio jockey greatly contributed. He disclosed that he engaged in prank calls impersonating a woman while working at the radio station. Additionally, he revealed that he assumed the role of his girlfriend’s female friend when her father answered their landline.

“My tenure as a radio jockey and my involvement in theater truly assisted me, particularly in this film. I would make prank calls as a woman during my time at the radio station. Furthermore, when I called my first girlfriend, I would feign to be her female friend if her father picked up the landline,” stated the 38-year-old actor.

Ayushmann Khurrana also touched on whether Dream Girl 2 would differ from the initial instalment. According to him, they successfully enhanced the humour in the second part, making it even funnier than the first one.

Ayushmann added, “Ekta (Kapoor) and I wanted it to be funnier than the previous part and I really feel that we have managed to do that. It’s actually version 2.0….double fun.”

Dream Girl, released in 2019, proved to be a blockbuster, prompting the decision to create a sequel. Dream Girl 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on August 25 and features a talented ensemble including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and more.

Bollywood’s star-studded parties and get-togethers always captivate the attention of film enthusiasts and netizens alike. On Saturday night, August 5, the leading producer, Amritpal Singh Bindra, hosted a grand bash that saw the who’s who of the contemporary Hindi film industry in attendance. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, accompanied by his daughter Suhana Khan, the much-loved couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, and rumored lovebirds Ananya Panday, among many others, graced the event.

True to his style, Shah Rukh Khan arrived at the party in a concealed car, not posing for the paparazzi photographers. His longtime manager, Pooja Dadlani, accompanied him for the occasion. Suhana Khan, following in her father’s footsteps, also chose to avoid the paparazzi, arriving in a sky-blue ribbed top and matching trousers.

On the other hand, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani greeted the photographers with beaming smiles as they arrived in their car. Sidharth looked dashing in a white shirt, while Kiara sported a pretty green and white floral dress with a no-makeup look and free-flowing hair.
