President, PM strongly condemn Miranshah suicide blast

  • Prime Minister Sharif said those killing innocent people could not be regarded as Muslims.

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday strongly condemned the suicide blast in Miranshah, Noth Waziristan that left security personnel and a civilian dead.

In their separate statements, both vowed to eliminate terrorism and extremism from the country.

President Alvi said the entire nation was committed to fighting terrorism.

Prime Minister Sharif said those killing innocent people could not be regarded as Muslims. The terrorists were acting on the will of anti-state elements, he added.

The president and the prime minister prayed for the souls of Havaldar Muhammad Ameer and a civilian who lost their lives in the terror incident.

Both paid tribute to the sacrifices rendered by security personnel for the safety of the homeland.

On the other hand, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday strongly condemned the suicide blast in Miranshah area in North Waziristan.

The minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of Havaldar Muhammad Amir and a civilian person in the blast.

“Cowardly acts of terrorism cannot dampen our spirits”, Marriyam Aurangzeb said while reiterating the government’s commitment to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country”.

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf and former prime minister Imran Khan on Thursday said the Sharif family got National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) twice and entered in power corridor after dry-cleaned.

Addressing the students of the country, former prime minister Imran Khan said PTI government was toppled under conspiracy and thieves brought into power. He said the Sharif family obtained the first NRO from General (R) Murshaf and the second from General (R)Qamar Javed Bajawa.

He said Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz, Suleman Shehbaz Asif Zardari, Faryal Talpur, and Nawaz Sharif got relief in NAB cases after amendment in bureau laws.

He lamented that a large number of educated youngsters have shifted to other countries for jobs and better future due to the poor economic condition of the country and instability.

Chairman PTI said Pakistan has full potential to grow but unfortunately corrupt elite destroyed our motherland.

He urged the youngsters to come forward to save the country as there is no other option left. He said migration to other counties for a bright future is not an option and youngsters should lead the country from the front in this crises time.
