Prince Charles realises he shares an interest with a Syrian refugee

Prince Charles paid a visit to the county of Cumbria in the North West of England yesterday. During his visit, the Duke of Cornwall met Syrian refugees and discovered he shared an interest with one of them.

After meeting local farmers and business owners at Hutton-in-the-Forest, the Prince spoke to two refugee families who had relocated in Cumbria in 2017.

Lord Richard Inglewood, the chairman of the Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership and a former Conservative MEP, lives in the Grade I listed residence near the village of Skelton.

During his visit to Tebay Services, the heir apparent spoke with Alan Roberts, the farm shop manager.

Mr Roberts revealed Charles was “so interested in everything we did here”.

Meghan Markle’s latest legal step, applying to trademark the term “archetypes,” would “certainly raise eyebrows,” according to a Royal Family expert.

Last month, the Duchess of Sussex filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to start the first season of her Spotify podcast.

This trademark application pertains to the use of the term “archetypes,” which has origins in ancient Greece and was first used in England in the 1540s.

But the editor of Daily Mail Diary Richard Eden warned on Twitter: “The Duchess of Sussex’s latest legal move is likely to raise eyebrows.”

“Meghan could face a legal challenge from companies that use the word in their names, such as the skincare and cleaning products business Archetypes, which has already established a trademark.

“Victoria Beckham fought a similar linguistic battle in 2002.

“The former pop singer known as Posh Spice tried to prevent the Championship football team Peterborough United from trademarking their club’s nickname ‘Posh’, arguing that the word was ‘inexorably associated’ with her.”

The death of a close friend, Oli Juste, a dog trainer and animal behaviouralist, who first introduced her to the Mayhew animal charity, which she later became a patron of, has left the Duchess of Sussex in “heartbreak.”

Queen Elizabeth II has been the monarch of the United Kingdom for 17 years and has attended several private and public royal engagements throughout that time.

A joyful and friendly hand wave to everybody she meets is a gesture she is always required to make. Your Highness never loses the patience to demonstrate her regal wave even when she is surrounded by throng for hours.

As a result of the ordeal, a student decided to give the monarch a false hand to use when she was fatigued. Princess Anne, the Queen’s daughter, told the story in 1980.

Anne revealed that the gift was given to Parkinson during the 95-year-Royal old’s Tour to Australia in 1970.

She said: “There were still one or two sort of noisy students about in those days – the end of the Sixties, you know. There was this slightly noisy group on arrival, and we thought what are they up to.

“And three of them pushed out of the crowd with this hand and it was a sort of stuffed glove, for want of a better expression, with a joint. And these three presented it to the Queen, I think thinking that they were being really rather daring and rather cheeky.

“And the Queen took it from them and said ‘Thank you very much, that is what I’ve always wanted!’ And their faces literally dropped because this wasn’t quite the reaction they’d expected!”

Princess Royal revealed where the hand is presently when questioned: “We’ve never seen it again. So if they’re watching perhaps they’ll make us another one.”
