LAHORE: No-confidence motion against Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has been moved in Punjab Assembly today.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) filed a no-confidence motion against Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervaiz Elahi.

Members of the House Samiullah Khan, Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Khawaja Sulaiman Rafique have submitted the no-confidence motion in the Assembly Secretariat.
The motion holds that the majority of the House has no confidence in the speaker.
It also said that the affairs of Punjab province were not being run according to the constitution of the country.
Earlier, on Wednesday Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) submits a no-trust motion against Deputy Speaker Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari.
The no-trust motion was moved by the incumbent political party for not carrying out the order to postpone today’s session to April 16.
The resolution was submitted against Mazari on the basis of distrust and it was claimed that the deputy speaker was no longer eligible to summon the House after the motion.
