Aishwarya Rai turns 48 today – A bona fide movie star & beauty queen

Aishwarya Rai birthday

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, considered one of the most beautiful women in the world, is celebrating her 48th birthday as actress, beauty queen, mother and wife.

She has not only impressed the audience through her phenomenal acting skills but also inspired them by taking time to speak beyond her work and her ability to entertain. Fans just consider Aishwarya Rai a bona fide star. She was a star even before she entered the movies.

When she first appeared in a Pepsi commercial alongside Bollywood’s legendary actor Aamir Khan in the early 1990s, she left the audience awestruck with her charismatic appeal.

She also triumphed in the Miss World competition in 1994 and later became a known face in the fashion world too. In the three decades that Aishwarya has been in the public eye, her aura has only risen.

Unlike many others, the Jodha Akbar starlet remains a star because of her personality and her flawless looks.

After making a prominent name in Bollywood, Aishwarya and her husband Abhishek Bachchan welcomed their first daughter Aaradhya in 2011.

She took a five-year sabbatical from films to focus on motherhood and family. She made her comeback with Jazbaa in 2015.

Earlier in an interview in 2018, the actress told: “I spend all my time with Aaradhya, and I have one nanny, by choice. I read comments saying, ‘Ah, she must have an army of help’ and I understand the perception, but I choose this way, which means life is always busy. I respect homemakers for the endless work they do,” she had said.

Talking about teaching her daughter the importance of having a positive outlook, Aishwarya had said, “I’m a firm believer of the state of the mind, and that’s the means to keep your head above a high level of water, every day. That’s something I’m imparting to Aaradhya—that B-positive is not just a blood group and that everything in life is a learning curve. Experience life in the moment, because you’re going to have to live with your experience.”
