Indian actor Johnny Lever, widely known for his comic roles and facial expressions, has extended sincere prayers and wishes for Umer Sharif, the veteran Pakistani comedian.

Johnny Lever has prayed for the speedy recovery of the comedy king Umer Sharif as he is currently hospitalized.

In a video message, the Phir Hera Pheri actor paid a rich tribute to him saying: “Our beloved star Umar Sharif is unwell these days. I am so sad to hear this.”

Lever further urged his fans to pray for Umer’s speedy recovery. “Umar bhai May God bless you with good health,” he added.

A day earlier, the Pakistani comic artist, via his video message, requested Prime Minister Imran Khan for assistance to receive urgent medical treatment.

Sharif’s message was broadcast by host Waseem Badami. “The doctor has told me that I need to go abroad to receive the best treatment,” Sharif said in his message.

“I helped in the making of Imran Khan’s Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital. I request Prime Minister Imran Khan to come to my support just like I have come to his whenever he has called me.”

Also, cricket legend Shahid Afridi emphasized the premier to take notice of Sharif’s medical treatment.

“I urge Imran Khan to expedite the US visa process for the asset of our nation Umer Sharif who is in critical condition and needs immediate treatment. I have spoken to doctors here in USA and they are ready to serve. We [believe the matter] is time sensitive and [would] appreciate immediate attention,” he tweeted.

On Friday, Umer’s wife updated fans about his health saying the next 24 hours are critical for him.

In a message from the official Facebook page of the comedy king, Zareen said, “24 hours are critical for umer please pray as much as you can! Mrs zareen umer.”
