Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan welcomed their second born Jehangir Ali Khan on February 21. “We have been blessed with a baby boy. Mom and baby are safe and healthy. Thank you to our well-wishers for their love and support,” Saif said in a statement.

A protest was held outside a luxurious hotel in London during the Nikkah ceremony of PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar on Sunday.

On the occasion, the protesters carried placards of former premier Nawaz Sharif and chanted slogans against him. They also recorded a unique style demonstration by playing the drums at the Nikkah event of Junaid Safdar.

The protesters demanded the return of the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan.

The nikah ceremony of the grandson of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Junaid Safdar and Ayesha Saif daughter of former NAB chairman Saifu ur Rehman was solemnified on Sunday.

The function took place at the Lanesborough Hotel in London, attended by the bride and groom’s close friends.

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also attended the ceremony.

However, Junaid’s mother PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and father (retd) Captain Safdar Awan are in Pakistan and attended the event via video link.

Many close relatives including Nawaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar also attended the function.

On social media, Junaid Safdar’s mother Maryam Nawaz shared photos of her son and daughter-in-law and wished them well while Maryam Nawaz’s daughter-in-law Ayesha Saif’s bridal pair was the topic of discussion.

“Unvaccinated people won’t be allowed to use public transport”: Asad Umar

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has on Tuesday said that those who have not been fully vaccinated against coronavirus will not be allowed to use public transport from October 15.

During a press conference along with SAPM on Health Dr Faisal Sultan, Asad Umar said that school teachers and staff will not be allowed to work after October 15 if they have not taken been vaccinated.

The chief of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) said that vaccination has been declared made mandatory for air travel after September 30.for

He said that the government is taking steps to curb the virus spread for which vaccination is important.

He added that a single COVID vaccine dose is necessary for travelling on highways after September 15, while after October 15, no one will be allowed to use the motorway without vaccination.

Moreover, in his tweets, the NCOC Chief said the NCOC meeting today decided to lower the eligible age for covid vaccination to 15 years and older.

“Starting September 1, vaccination of 17 years old will start. For 15 and 16 years old start date will be announced later,” he added.

On the other hand, the contagious COVID-19 infection has so far claimed 91 more lives during the past 24 hours in Pakistan, taking the death toll to 25,094.

The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has on Tuesday said that the overall confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country have climbed to 1,131,659 after the rise of 4,075 new infections.

Around 1,015,519 have recovered from the pandemic. However, the positivity rate of infections was recorded at 6.79%, NCOC said.

NCOC further said that 5,513 people are in critical condition. Overall 17,336,393 tests have been conducted so far to diagnose the deadly virus in Pakistan.
