India must desist from imposing any additional unilateral changes in IIOJK: President Alvi

Youm-e-Istehsal President

President Dr Arif Alvi has on Thursday (today) said that India has imposed unprecedented military siege and restrictions on fundamental rights and freedoms of the Kashmiris but has failed to break the will of the Kashmiri people.

In his message on Youm-e-Istehsal, President Alvi said Pakistan solidly stands by Kashmiris in their just struggle for the right to self-determination and will continue to highlight the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) dispute at the international fora.

He said a just and peaceful settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people, is indispensable for durable peace and stability in South Asia.

He also requested the international community to call upon India to end its campaign of repression and human rights violations in IIOJK and reverse all its illegal actions, including those initiated on and after 5 August 2019.

“India must cease and desist from imposing any additional unilateral changes in the occupied territory,” he said.

PM Vows To Stand With The Oppressed People Of IIOJ&K

Prime Minister Imran Khan has reaffirmed Pakistan’s lasting support to the Kashmir cause and vowed to continue to extend all possible assistance to Kashmiris till the fulfilment of their absolute right to self-determination.

PM Imran Khan said, “Today marks two years since India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019 in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). These actions were followed by unprecedented military siege and restrictions on fundamental rights and freedoms of the Kashmiri people to perpetuate Indian occupation in the occupied territory.”

“Yet, India has failed to break the will of Kashmiri people. Kashmiris face unabated extra-judicial killings, custodial tortures and deaths, arbitrary detentions, burning and looting of houses to inflict collective punishment, and other worst forms of human rights abuses.”

“India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019 and subsequent measures particularly pertaining to domicile rules and the land ownership laws are aimed at changing the demographic structure of IIOJK and converting the Kashmiris into a minority in their own land,” said the premier.

He added, “These measures are in blatant violation of international law including the UN Charter, the United Nations Security Council Resolutions, and the 4thGeneva Convention. Pakistan, the Kashmiris, and the international community forcefully rejected these steps.”

Youm-e-Istehsal: PM Vows To Stand With The Oppressed People Of IIOJ&K

Youm-e-Istehsal PM IMran message

Youm-e-Istehsal is being observed today to express solidarity with the enslaved Kashmiris after the two-year military onslaught of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K)

Prime Minister Imran Khan, on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal, has reaffirmed Pakistan’s lasting support to the Kashmir cause and vowed to continue to extend all possible assistance to Kashmiris till the fulfilment of their absolute right to self-determination.

“The criticism and censure of India’s illegal actions in IIOJK by a number of international organizations including UN, OHCHR, European Parliament, international media and by various human rights experts and human rights organizations is well documented.”

“Pakistan has the utmost respect for the people of IIOJK for their unparalleled courage, sacrifices and persistence in facing Indian tyranny as they resolutely struggle for their legitimate right to self-determination,” added the Prime Minister.

“All the unilateral and illegal actions taken by India in IIOJK, from the outset, the measures initiated on and after 5 August 2019, and any additional unilateral changes that India may introduce in the future, are violations of international law including the Security Council Resolutions and the 4thGeneva Convention, and ipso facto null and void.”

“Pakistan calls upon the international community, including the United Nations, human rights organizations and the global media, to hold India accountable for its crimes against the Kashmiri people.”

The premier further said, “I would like to reaffirm Pakistan’s abiding commitment to the Kashmir cause. We will continue to extend all possible assistance to Kashmiris till the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination and a just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in accordance with the relevant UNSC resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.”

Nation Observes Youm-e-Istehsal To Mark Worst Indian Brutalities Against Kashmiris

Youm-e-Istehsal August 5

The nation is observing Youm-e-Istehsal on Thursday (today) to express solidarity with the enslaved Kashmiri people on completion of two years of the military siege of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).

It was on the 5th of August 2019, the same day that witnessed the abolition of the special constitutional status of IIOJ&K, which was scrapped by the Modi government and is marked as Youm-e-Istehsal.

A host of events have been arranged in order to denounce the Indian one-sided illegal actions against Kashmiri people as well as the atrocities being carried out by the Indian forces in IoJK.

The participants of the walk will wear black bands and carry the flags of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. One minute silence is to be observed across the country. Traffic is to be halted for one minute and sirens will be sounded.

Earlier, Radio Pakistan had released two short documentaries on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal that exposed the face of the Modi government.

The documentary highlighted Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and also mentioned India’s humiliation at the hands of China on the border and its dispute with India and Nepal.

The documentary also stated that the Hindutva virus in Bhat is transmitted from one generation to another and that the Hindutva virus is more destructive than the coronavirus.

The aftershocks of the virus will be felt for generations to come, the documentary added.
