Mohammad Amir return to international cricket after a talk with Wasim Khan

Mohammad Amir

Mohammad Amir Pakistan’s left-arm pacer is set to make a return in international cricket after Pakistan Chief Executive Officer, Wasim Khan, had an interaction with him at his residence before the second leg of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) sixth edition.

Amir had taken the cricket world by storm by announcing his retirement abruptly last year as he imposed severe allegations against the Pakistan team management and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq.

He had also disclosed that he was not getting his due respect in the team and by the management, which were the reasons behind him losing interest to play for the country. he later said that he will be available once the current management changes.

Wasim, meanwhile, had said in a recent interaction that Amir is a valuable player for the team and that he was making an effort to sort out the issues between him and the management.

Wasim quoted, “I also made it clear to him that the path he adopted was not right as a senior player. I think Amir is a valuable player for us even now and we will now make efforts to bring about a rapprochement between him and the coaches,”

Controversies have been a part of Amir’s career since the early days. He had to go through a ban after he was found guilty of match-fixing in Pakistan’s tour of England in 2010. After serving a five-year ban, he did make a comeback for the team, though only to be in a rift with the cricketing board.

He confessed about being tortured by the management and not being in a correct mental state to play for the country.

He said, “Right now, I am leaving cricket. I am being mentally tortured. I don’t think, I will be able to handle this kind of torture because I have been tortured a lot from 2010 to 2015,”

On the other hand, he has expressed his desire to be a part of the Pakistan national team again.

He added, “Whenever I speak anything, people label that as an explanation. My decision to retire was taken in a bad light by many, but Wasim Khan coming to my place means a lot for me. If things go as per plans, I will play for the nation again,”

Unidentified Malware Stole 1.2 terabytes of sensitive data

Unidentified malware

An unidentified malware stole 26 million passwords from windows PCs. The malware is yet to be identified by the researchers.

Researchers have discovered a massive trove of sensitive data, a 1.2 TB database containing login credentials, browser cookies, auto-fill data, and payment information extracted by the malware.

Researchers from NordLocker said on Wednesday, the database contained 26 million login credentials, 1.1 million unique email addresses, more than 2 billion browser cookies, and 6.6 million files. In some cases, victims stored passwords in text files created with the Notepad application.

The discovery comes during an epidemic of security breaches involving ransomware and other types of malware hitting large companies.

Co-founder and CTO of security firm Hudson Rock, Alon Gal, said that such data is often first collected by stealer malware installed by an attacker attempting to steal cryptocurrency or commit a similar type of crime.

Gal said that the attacker “will likely then try to steal cryptocurrencies, and once he is done with the information, he will sell to groups whose expertise is ransomware, data breaches, and corporate espionage,”

People who want to know if their data was swept up by the malware can check the Have I Been Pwned breach notification service, which has just uploaded a list of compromised accounts.

Saeed Ajmal: ‘They don’t care if a Pakistan bowler will get banned’

Saeed Ajmal: ‘They don’t care if a Pakistan bowler will get banned’

Saeed Ajmal, who has been banned multiple times by International Cricket Council (ICC) for his bowling action, has alleged that Ravichandran Ashwin avoided being punished despite having similar issues.

Saeed, who had prolific returns in the early years of his international career, went through a rough second half after being called for quitting by the ICC.

The Pakistan spinner was reported for the illegal bend in his elbow twice in his career. After being called for quitting during the 2008 Asia Cup, Saeed took remedial action and cleared the tests soon after, and resumed bowling to have a prolific few years.

The second time around, in 2014, landed a telling blow for Saeed as he was banned from bowling in all international cricket by the ICC in 2015. He changed his action to return later that year but was never as effective a bowler. He retired two years later but has now claimed that the ICC was harsh on him while being lenient to Ashwin.

In an interview, Saeed said, “You changed all these rules and regulations without asking anyone,”

He told, “I was playing cricket for the last eight years. All those rules were for me. That’s it. During that period, Ashwin was out from cricket for six months. Why is that? So you can work on him and your bowler doesn’t get banned. They don’t care if a Pakistan bowler gets banned. They only care about money.”

This isn’t the first time he has lashed out at the governing body. Last year, in a YouTube video, he suggested that the ICC had made him a scapegoat.

He said, “The test in 2009 and 2014 was the same but the only difference was they had removed the medical conditions which they considered in 2009,”

He added, “When Muralitharan left cricket then ICC thought there is this guy Saeed Ajmal and he is from Pakistan and they can’t do anything against our decision.”

There have been suggestions that he is confused about the differences between his two tests. According to international media, Saeed was allowed to continue bowling in 2009 because his elbow only straightened by eight degrees, despite having a 23.5-degree bend in his elbow when bowling. In 2014, it was found that all his deliveries exceeded the allowed maximum of straightening, which is 15 degrees. He was one of at least six bowlers cited around 2014.

Sri Lankan cricketers have lost confidence in coach Mickey Arthur

Sri Lanka bank on local coaches to replace Arthur

Sri Lankan players are uncomfortable with their head coach Mickey Arthur, who has been accused of favoritism, being involved with the new points system for the proposed performance-based contracts.

According to the reports, Sri Lanka cricketers are unhappy with head coach Mickey Arthur and can no longer trust their coach.

International media wrote, “Sri Lankan players seem to have lost confidence in the coach, who they say cannot be trusted,”

They added, “This is a serious issue going forward as lack of trust between the two parties would derail whatever plans implemented to take cricket forward.”

According to the media, the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) board and the players are embroiled in a contract dispute, with the players calling for a more transparent and less subjective grading system than what has been presented by SLC’s technical committee headed by Aravinda de Silva.

The new SLC central agreements will see a reduced number of overall agreements handed out and a significant decrease in salaries, in addition to monetary incentives and contracts allocated based on a points system for winning matches, fitness, leadership, professionalism, and future potential and adaptability.

This newly introduced grading system was used by Coach Mickey, the selection panel, and the physical performance manager to award the contentious contracts, which the players unanimously rejected even when faced with the threat of suspension.

Media wrote, “Although cricketers had principally agreed to take a pay cut given the global economic environment due to the global health crisis, they weren’t happy with how the 24 players had been graded,”

They added, “For instance, former skipper and all format player Angelo Mathews was graded in A-2 with a retainer value of $ 80,000 while Test skipper Dimuth Karunaratne was graded further down in A-3 with a base value of $ 70,000. Both Mathews and Karunaratne along with Suranga Lakmal, who was offered a B-1 contract, have performed reasonably well during the two years in consideration.”

They concluded, “The players also find it hard to understand how Niroshan Dickwella gets a top category A contract when he has not performed well in the ODI format, and how Pathum Nissanka and Kasun Rajitha leapfrogged to the $55,000 and $50,000 pay brackets despite playing too little international cricket. And, how Nuwan Pradeep, Sri Lanka’s leading bowler in T20 cricket could not find a place in any of the four categories,”

In addition to the emerging rift between players and the coach over contracts, Mickey was also recently involved in a fight with Bhanuka Rajapaksa that played out in the media.

Voilá AI Artist | what you should know about the latest viral selfie app

Voilá AI Artist

If you haven’t already been swept up by Voilá AI Artist, here’s what the app does and why you might want to be careful using it.

Voilá is a photo manipulation app for iOS and Android that takes a photo of your face and, using some AI magic, turns your photo into something that looks like a Pixar/Disney cartoon character.

That’s pretty much it! There are not many advanced editing features you find in similar apps like FaceApp. You can choose from three different variations once the filter is applied.

How viral apps can hurt your privacy?

Canceling a paid subscription to a viral app (or, better yet, not subscribing in the first place) is the easy part. What’s harder is keeping your data private when you download the new app that’s going viral.

As with many other apps of its kind, Voilá AI Artist gets permission to transfer and store your images—necessary if you want to use the app—which the company says it deletes after 24 to 48 hours, but there’s no way to confirm if that actually happens.

The app also uses your data for targeted advertising, which is unfortunately common. It is important to be aware of how viral apps can be used as data collection schemes.

For example, The 2018 Cambridge Analytica scandal, began with a Facebook app that paid users to answer a few questions, but then gathered more data than it revealed about users’ friends and family.

It’s up to you to decide what risks you want to take with your money, data, and privacy, but it’s important to be informed about what those risks are.

Scott Styris: Rohit Will Struggle Against Swing, Neil Will Trouble Virat

Scott Styris: Rohit Will Struggle Against Swing, Neil Will Trouble Virat

Rohit Sharma will struggle if New Zealand bowlers can move the ball around during the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

Scott Styris former New Zealand all-rounder said that Rohit Sharma India opener will struggle if New Zealand bowlers can move the ball around during the WTC final that commences on June 18 in Southampton.

Scott said, “It is pitch-dependent. I can’t stress that enough. I think if the ball is moving around then Rohit will have his struggles. We have done demonstrations after demonstrations (in the studio) about how Rohit doesn’t move his feet a lot early in his innings. If that is the case, then the swinging ball could be a problem for him,”

He explained that the New Zealand pace bowling strategy like Tim Southee, Trent Boult, and Kyle Jamieson/Colin de Grandhomme will bowl till the 22nd or 28th (over) before Neil Wagner will come into a bowl with the old ball.

He added, “There is no secret to New Zealand’s fast bowling plan if you like and that is Southee, Boult and either Jamieson or de Grandhomme will be the third seamer and they bowled till about the 22nd to 28th over with a new ball. And then Neil Wagner comes into the equation,”

He concluded, “So when you talk about Wagner, he can be aggressive and be a genuine wicket-taking option for somebody like Kohli in those middle-overs till the new ball comes around,”

Euro 2020: Czech Republic defeated Scotland 2-0 in their opening game

The Czech Republic earned their first win against Scotland since October 2010, ending a run of one draw and three defeats against the Tartan Army in all competition.

A second goal on the other side of the half-time followed for Schick, who remarkably curled a long-range lofted effort over Scottish goalkeeper Marshall from near the halfway line to extend the visitor’s lead.

Sykes, Armstrong, and Robertson all tested the Czech shot-stopper Vaclik, however, the hosts fall to a 2-0 loss in their first game of Euro 2020.

According to Cheteshwar Pujara, the World Test Championship (WTC) final starting on June 18 presents an opportunity to be a world champion, which otherwise is not possible as he is not part of the limited-overs teams.

He said, “It’s as big as any other World Cup final from another format,”

He added, “When you qualify for a WTC final, it means a lot to those who are only playing in Tests.”

He further said, “It’s as big as any other World Cup final from another format,”

He concluded, “When you qualify for a WTC final, it means a lot to those who are only playing in Tests.”

Therefore, it’s going to be a tough final for India with conditions at Southampton expected to be more seam-friendly, and more suited to New Zealand.

New Zealand pace bowlers had routed India in seaming conditions at home in the two Tests played at the start of 2020.

Cheteshwar in an interview said that the team has learned from those defeats and will be ready this time.

The interviewer asked him that does this final has a different meaning for those in the team who play only Tests?

He answered that it does, as there is a lot to play for when it comes to Test cricket now. When you are qualifying for a WTC final, it means a lot to those who are only playing Tests. Not just us, to everyone in the team. They also understand the value of Test cricket. It’s as big as any other World Cup final, T20 or ODI.
