Lara Dutta Leaves Fans Amazed With Her Unrecognizable Look In Bell Bottom

One of the finest Bollywood actresses Lara Dutta is undoubtedly very much impressive whenever it comes to portray her fine acting skills.

This time Lara Dutta appeared to be unrecognizable for her upcoming film, Bell Bottom, which is all set to release on August 19, alongside Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi.

She is going to play the role of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie.

Recently, Dutta was asked about the character she portrays in the film. After much prodding, Dutta said, “So you did see me in the trailer. I’m playing Mrs Indira Gandhi. That’s me.”

The former Miss Universe revealed that she received a call from the makers about playing the former PM in the movie.

“All it took was a call and they said that Lara this film is being made and we are casting for Indira Gandhi’s role. It was before I heard the script.

“But yes, of course, there is a great responsibility when you’re portraying somebody who is an iconic figure like her,” she said.

It was a challenge to get the body language of the character right, added Dutta.

However, the trailer of Bell Bottom has received much appreciation, specially Lara Dutta’s character by social media users and fans.

Bell Bottom is a spy thriller set in the 80s. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Written by Aseem Arora and Parveez Shaikh, the film was shot in Scotland.

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bell Bottom’ teaser to be launched in the first week of October

Akshay Kumar was the first Bollywood star to begin shoot, post the Coronavirus pandemic scare in the country. He went ahead with the UK schedule of Jackky Bhagnani’s next production venture Bell Bottom first.

According to sources, “The Bell Bottom team has decided to launch a 1-minute long teaser for the audiences. They have already cut out the promo, but they are giving finishing touches to the same. The plan is to unveil the promo on October 4, but there could be a day or two-delay in the music and editing. But the Bell Bottom teaser is definitely releasing in the first week of October. It won’t reveal much about the film but just give the viewer an experience of what to expect from the film. It was Akshay and Jackky’s idea to launch a teaser almost six months away from its release.”

Bell Bottom, directed by Ranjit Tiwari, is based on the plane hijacks that took India by a storm in the early 1980s. Akshay, who plays a spy in the action espionage thriller, will unravel the conspiracy theory that worked behind the series of incidents.

Lara Dutta essays the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who was in power at that time, whereas Vaani Kapoor plays Akki’s wife in the film.

Bell Bottom has a few days of shoot left which will be completed in Mumbai and is planned for an April 2021 release in the theaters.

The well planned series of hijacking began in September 1981, and it continued till August, 1984.

The film also stars Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi in leading roles.
