Maryam Nawaz Says, “PPP Is No More Part Of PDM Alliance”

AJK Elections

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has on Wednesday said that the PPP is no longer a part of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

Addressing a press conference today, Maryam said that all the parties under PDM are having one ideology. However, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is no more part of the alliance, therefore, no discussion should be carried out on this matter, she told.

Maryam Nawaz further said that those who have facilitated Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will also face the consequences.

Earlier, Maryam Nawaz had ensured the incumbent PTI government that she won’t go anywhere till she sends home the “selected” rulers.

Taking to Twitter, Maryam Nawaz said that I was just sick for a few days, the trembling government hoped that Maryam might abroad for treatment. To dampen your hopes, let me tell you that I have no intentions of going anywhere until I send you back home.”

Previously, President of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh Nisar Khuhro has said that the PPP has never left the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and always stood firmly in all matters.

While speaking to BOL News’ program Bus Bohat Hogaya with host Arbab Jahangir, said that the PDM was an unnatural alliance. The aim of the PDM to make the PTI government fall turned out to be a flop.

“No matter what PDM does, their fate is not going to be right,” he said.

The party [PPP] had neither left the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) nor did it intend to quit it, the PPP President said.

Khuhro further added that no one has so far succeeded in blackmailing Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“It’s not right to put pressure on the government and form separate groups, Nisar Khuhro added.

PSL 2021: Babar-Sharjeel Likely to Be the Openers For Karachi Kings

PSL 2021: Karachi's first option opening duo will be Babar and Sharjeel

Despite the presence of New Zealand’s veteran opener Martin Guptill, Karachi Kings’ opener Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan are likely to open for the franchise as the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 remainders are resuming from today (Wednesday).

During a virtual press conference, Skipper Imad Wasim said that the opening pair will be discussed by team management after a thorough evaluation of the squad’s necessities during PSL 2021 remainders.

Imad stated, “I am the sort of person who doesn’t like to change the openers. We will have a discussion about it. It depends on the position we are in. I have no intentions of making too many changes. So I think you are probably going to see Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan, to be honest. We will do whatever is necessary for the team. We will sit together and talk to Babar, Sharjeel, and Guptill. But I probably think Babar and Sharjeel will open for us.”

The all-rounder declared that there was no pressure to defend the title and that the players will give their 100% in all situations.

Imad also mentioned that if the team requires him at a higher position, he may consider moving up the batting order.

“If my team needs it, then I can consider batting a little higher in the order. Individual performances however are not the aim. I will do whatever is good for the team. If I feel that other bowlers are bowling better than me, then I will keep using them instead of bowling myself,” he concluded.

PSL 2021: Spinner Rashid Khan’s inclusion into the squad will boost Lahore Qalandars’ performance, Aqib Javed

Lahore Qalandars head coach is worried about the dew factor in PSL

The Lahore Qalandars head coach Aqib Javed said the dew factor will play a role in the upcoming matches of the PSL 2021 ahead of the remainders, resuming today (Wednesday) in Abu Dhabi.

While speaking to media officials, Aqib Javed has termed the late matches of the PSL 2021 as the “biggest challenge” for everyone.

Speaking about the training sessions, Javed said the Qalandars were getting used to the Abu Dhabi conditions. “As far as the heat is concerned, it will not have a big difference on the players. We held a couple of training sessions, they went well,” he added.

He further added, “Afghan spinner Rashid Khan’s inclusion into the squad will boost the Qalandars’ performance.”

“Team had a great combination when the first half of the PSL 2021 was being played,” Javed added.

However, he said due to the league’s postponement, the combination had been affected a bit.

“However, we will try to give our best performance,” he said. “Ferguson, Faulkner and Tim David will hopefully rise to the expectations for the team,” added the Qalandars head coach.

He said the Qalandars had tried to cover each base, adding that bowlers such as Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Rashid Khan, considered among the best in the world when it comes to T20 cricket, were in the squad.

“We also have Mohammad Hafeez and Fakhar Zaman in the batting line-up, Ben Dunk always makes his presence felt in the team.”

What Is Dew Factor?

Excess moisture on the surface turns the ball slippery, posing significant challenges for the bowling side, especially spinners. This is known as the “dew factor” in cricket.

“Pakistan Has Produced Really Good fast bowlers Like Wahab Riaz”: David Miller

David Miller Wahab Riaz

David Miller, South Africa’s hard-hitting batsman said that Wahab Riaz from Pakistan is the fastest bowler I have ever played with.

Speaking to media officials recently, David Miller said that he aims to make an impact for his team during his short stint with Peshawar Zalmi in the remainders of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6.

“I’ve had that question about who’s the fastest bowler I’ve ever faced, and Wahab Riaz is definitely one. I’ve played against him a lot of times in my career. And he’s always a competitor and I’m looking forward to playing under him this next couple of games,” the South African cricketer said.

“He wants to win. And yeah, he demands guys to be up for the challenge and putting in the hard work at training. So, I’m looking forward to being a part of it. I think he’s got a lot of good things, a lot of good qualities as a leader,” the 31-year-old cricketer said about Riaz.

“I’m not here for too long, just for a couple of games and just trying to make a big impact towards the team in whatever space I can for the short amount of time. I always wanted to play in this competition,” he said.

He further said that spinners will have a greater role during the remainders of the Pakistan Super League matches in the United Arab Emirates.

“Spinners have been hugely valuable by picking up wickets. They go for a lot of runs but they were picking up wickets,” he said.

David Miller Will Leave For West Indies After Few Matches Played For Zalmi

Moreover, Miller will be available for Peshawar Zalmi for just a few games before heading for West Indies on June 15.

“I will possibly be with Zalmi for just a couple of games before heading for the West Indies. Till that time I am ready to play any role for my franchise team be it of a pinch hitter or staying at the wicket for a longer time. It is up to management to decide. What I want is to contribute to the team’s cause in the best possible way,” he said.

“Zalmi are good enough to pose a tough challenge to all teams in the PSL. Looking forward to the best possible start as it would help the team stay among the top table teams,” he said.

Miller further added, “I could be on the field in the second or the third over or maybe in the 15th. Wherever I get a chance, I will try to make it count. I have always preferred walking in at No 5. I am excited to play at the venue where I enjoyed playing in the past.”
