As per the reports, the crown prince has named his son after his grandfather “Abdul Aziz”, the Kingdom’s founder.

Real Madrid, Man City, Chelsea likely to be banned from Champions League

On Monday, UEFA executive committee member Jesper Moller said that clubs Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Chelsea are likely to be banned from this season’s Champions League semi-finals.

“The clubs must go, and I expect that to happen on Friday. Then we have to find out how to finish (this season’s) Champions League tournament,” said Moller.

“There is an extraordinary executive committee meeting on Friday,” he added.

Moller’s comments came just after UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said he wanted to ban all the rebel clubs from the Champions League.

“We’re still assessing with our legal team but we will take all the sanctions that we can and we will inform you as soon we can,” he said. “My opinion is that as soon as possible they have to be banned from all our competitions and the players from all our competitions,” Ceferin added.

Adnan Siddiqui Receives First Jab Of COVID-19 Vaccine

Renowned Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui has recieved the first jab of the coronavirus vaccine on Sunday, however, the MOM actor shared the news today (Monday) on his Instagram account.

The Mere Pass Tum Ho actor shared his experience on Instagram and shared a video while getting the vaccine.

He wrote,

“Finally got the jab yesterday. It’s a huge relief. Honestly, I was a bit jittery in the beginning. Because of the needle, of course! No matter how young or old are you, this is one thing that petrifies you every time.”

Siddiqui went on to write,

“I have been asked multiple questions before and after my vaccination by family and friends worried about the efficacy and safety of the vaccine. Yes, I also read those sporadic reports of after effects of the vaccine, which have made people wary. I had my share of doubts too. Then I consulted my friend, Dr. Junaid Ali Shah, who assured me that my fears were unfounded and gave a go ahead. And by Allah’s grace, I am feeling perfectly fine.”

He concluded by writing,

“The onus to combat the pandemic is on us. Those who are sceptical of whether to go ahead with the vaccine or not, as someone who’s got inoculated recently, my vote is with the vaccination. Yet, please consult your personal doctor, specially those who are on medication or are immuno compromised.”

Boris Johnson Cancels trip to India Following Current Virus Situation

The United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister Boris Johnson has cancelled his official visit to India following the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country.

Boris Johnson’s visit to India after an explosion of coronavirus cases there. Later, the Britain government India added to the “red list” of countries, banning all arrivals from India except for the UK or Irish nationals.

According to the details, from Friday, people who have travelled from India in the last 10 days will be denied entrance.

British or Irish passport holders as well as people with UK residence rights will be allowed to enter but must quarantine for 10 days in a hotel approved by the government.

The UK and Indian governments called off Johnson’s visit, which was set for next week after already being delayed in January.

It would have been the premier’s first major foreign visit since he took charge in 2019.

His previous trip to India had been cancelled in view of the Coronavirus in England and the national lockdown situation across the country.

The spokesman for the British Prime Minister had said that relations and cooperation between the two countries would continue in the same manner, even during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will leave for a three-day official visit to Iran on Tuesday (tomorrow).

According to sources, Shah Mahmood Qureshi will arrive in Tehran after ending his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The foreign minister will meet his Iranian counterpart where they will discuss bilateral ties, the Afghanistan reconciliation process and other matters, added sources.

On the other hand, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi met Minister of State HE Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh of UAE during his official visit to the country.

Both the leaders discussed promoting bilateral relations, mutual cooperation between Pakistan and UAE in various sectors. They also exchanged views on regional and global issues.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), FM Qureshi and HE Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh agreed that immense trade and investment opportunities existed between Pakistan and UAE.

The two also agreed to frequently exchange trade delegations.

The Foreign Minister FM also stressed utilizing avenues of Economic Diplomacy.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had reached the United Arab Emirates on a three-day visit.

During his visit, Qureshi held meetings with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other senior UAE leaders.

The Foreign Minister also talked with local and international media representatives of the UAE and explain Pakistan’s views on various regional and global issues.

PM Khan To Visit Saudi Arabia Before or After Eid-Ul-Fitr

On Monday Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in Pakistan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Saudi Arabia before Eid-ul-Fitr or immediately after it.

PM Khan will have a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit.

According to Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to the Kingdom has been confirmed, however, the dates will be announced later.

Earlier in March, Prime Minister Imran Khan had received a telephone call from the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Crown Prince inquired about the Prime Minister’s health and wished him a speedy recovery. PM Imran also inquired about the well-being of Mohammed Bin Salman since he had recently undergone a surgical procedure.

During their conversation, the premier lauded the transformational “Green Saudi Initiative” and the “Green Middle East initiative” recently announced by the Crown Prince in Saudi Arabia.

He also highlighted Pakistan’s “10 billion Tree Tsunami” initiative, which is underway in the whole country, and its potential dividends to restore the ecosystem and combat climate change.

While highlighting the complementarities between both countries’ environmental initiatives, the Prime Minister hoped for enhanced bilateral cooperation and knowledge sharing in this field.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Imran Khan conveyed warm wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

PM Imran, however, reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen amiable and fraternal ties with Saudi Arabia and also reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Also, both the leaders agreed to work together to further augment bilateral ties in all spheres.

The Crown Prince also invited the Prime Minister to undertake a visit to Saudi Arabia in the near future.

India added to the “red list” of countries from which most travel to the United Kingdom (UK) is banned amidst concerns about the deadly COVID-19 outbreak across the country.

The British Naz Shah says India should have been placed on the red list much earlier. The decision was only put off because Boris Johnson was hoping to avoid cancelling his travel to India.

From Friday, people who have travelled from India in the last 10 days will be denied entrance.

Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) IGP Nasir Khan Durrani has breathed his last due to the novel coronavirus here on Monday (today).

Nasir Khan Durrani was under treatment for the last one month at Mayo Hospital in Lahore.

Soon after the news of his demise broke out, several political leaders took to social media to extend their sincere condolences.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has tweeted, “Saddened to learn of the passing of former IG Police Nasir Durrani. My condolences and prayers go to his family. He was instrumental in reforming KP police when he was the IG. Pakistan has lost an outstanding police officer.”

Senator Faisal Javed on his Twitter wrote, “Condolences on the passing of Nasir Durani Sb – EX IG KP. May ALLAH give his soul eternal rest & the family the strength to bear the great pain. Durani Sb worked v closely with ImranKhan during PTI’s 1st tenure in KP. He was the key person behind implementing police reforms in KP.”

SAPM Shahbaz Gill has felt deep grief on Durrani’s death and prayed for the departed soul.

Also, Firdous Ashiq Awan, SACM Punjab, also expressed her sincere condolences and praised IGP’s tireless efforts.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi wrote, “Saddened to learn of the death of ex-IG KPK Nasir Khan Durrani, a stellar officer who served our country & people with integrity. Prayers and strength to his family to bear this great loss.”

Nasir Khan Durrani also worked as Chairman Punjab Police Reforms Commission in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

Durrani had submitted his resignation from the post in 2018 following his health issues.
