COAS meets Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim at Doha

  • General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), on Thursday, paid an official tour to Qatar at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar
  • The COAS also met His Excellency Doctor Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, State of Qatar
  • During the meetings, matters of mutual interest, defense and security cooperation, and regional environment were discussed
  • Both sides underscored the importance of further enhancing cooperation in all fields.

 

DOHA: General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), on Thursday paid an official tour to Qatar at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release.

The COAS also met His Excellency Doctor Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, State of Qatar, the ISPR said.

During the meetings, matters of mutual interest, defense and security cooperation, and regional environment were discussed. The army chief said, “Both the countries share a great history of cordial relations and a deep spirit of brotherhood, which are being transformed into an enduring partnership.”

Both sides underscored the importance of further enhancing cooperation in all fields. Notable of the State of Qatar also admired Pakistan’s continuous efforts for peace and stability in the region and vowed to keep working for better relations between the two fraternal countries, the ISPR added.
