ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced public holiday on February 05(Wednesday) on account of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The notification issued by the Federal Ministry of Interior said that the occasion will be a public holiday on February 5 across the country and all government, semi -public and private institutions will be closed.

In connection with Kashmir Day, rallies, processions and seminars will be held in big and small cities across the country, including all four provincial and federal capital.

Kashmir Solidarity Day is being celebrated in Pakistan since the 19th century, its aim is to highlight the rights of Kashmiris in front of the world.

Every year in Pakistan, celebrating solidarity day in Azad Kashmir on February 5 has become a permanent tradition.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Wednesday, February 05, 2025 being public holiday on Kashmir Day, as declared by the Government of Pakistan,” read official statement.

Sindh announces public holiday on Kashmir Day

KARACHI: The Sindh government on Friday announced a public holiday on February 5, 2025 on account of Kashmir Day.

Sindh government has issued a public holiday notification on the occasion of Kashmir Day, under which all government offices and educational institutions will be closed on February 5.

All government and semi-government offices in Sindh would remain closed on Wednesday, February 5, it said.

Every year, February 5 is observed as a day of solidarity with Kashmiris.

Pakistan has committed to supporting the just struggle of Kashmiris for their inalienable right to self-determination, as enshrined in the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

ISLAMABAD: A public holiday has been declared on July 31 and August 1 in the federal capital Islamabad.

According to the district administration, there will be a local holiday on Monday and Tuesday and educational institutions and private offices will remain closed in Islamabad.

The administration says that on July 31 and August 1, markets, shops, and banks will also remain closed within the limits of Islamabad.

The district administration said that courts, legislative bodies, National Assembly, Senate Secretariat, and ministries will work as usual.

It should be noted that China’s Deputy Prime Minister He Lifeng is arriving on a visit to Pakistan tomorrow, Sunday, July 30.

According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng will visit Pakistan at the invitation of the government. His visit will take place from July 30 to August 1.
