Niall Horan announces plans to release new music in 2023

The former member of One Direction made an unexpected announcement on Twitter on Thursday night, saying he has plans to release a third studio album and tour music festivals in support of it sometime in 2019.

“I’m back. I’ve got new music coming in the new year that I’m really proud of, and I appreciate you being so patient with me while I’ve done it,” Horan told fans in the social media video.

Unlike previous album announcements, Horan, 29, didn’t give any other details about a possible release date or album name.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating new music from the star following the release of his second album, Heartbreak Weather, in 2020. He previously released his debut album, Flicker, in 2017.

 

Fans won’t have to wait long, though, as Horan hinted in his social media video that he intends to return to the road soon for a number of appearances at music festivals all around the world.

“Something that I’ve wanted to do forever is festivals, and I’ve never really had the opportunity to do it,” he said. “I think we will be announcing some festivals in the next couple of days and weeks and months for next year, which I’m really excited about.”

The Voice season 23 coach Horan, who was introduced earlier this month, said filming for the upcoming season, which will premiere in the spring, is currently underway.

On the 23rd season of The Voice, which will be Blake Shelton’s final run as a coach on the show, he will be working alongside returning coach Kelly Clarkson and new coach Chance the Rapper.

Horan ended his social media video with one last sentiment, saying, “Can’t wait to see you soon… See you in the New Year.”

Harry Styles looks unrecognizable in music video for sushi restaurant

Harry Styles donned  crown, jewels, and a huge squid-like tail in the music video for his smash track “Music for a Sushi Restaurant,” channeling all the Little Mermaid vibes.

The singer plays a squid that is trapped in the wild and taken into a made-up sushi bar named Gill’s Lounge in the music video, which will be released on October 27. Harry observes chefs slicing up fish all around him.

plans to use his voice to help keep himself alive. When the cooks first hear his lovely voice, they immediately treat him like a VIP and pamper him with manicures, face masks, massages, and other services to get him ready for his live performance at the restaurant.

Sadly, the “Golden” singer’s squid tale does not appear to have a happy ending since after he passes out on stage, it seems the cooks still opted to chop him up and make him into a dish of sushi (RIP bearded mermaid Harry, we’ll never forget you).

The wild concept music video is one fans surely never saw coming, but they’re definitely eating it up (no pun intended).

One person tweeted, “gay squid in forced labor and then getting eaten is crazy we need a study on harry’s brain.”

Other fans are choosing to interpret a deeper meaning, with one tweet reading, “I want to write an essay on how the music for a sushi restaurant music video was an allegory for the entertainment industry and how if an artist falls short in their ability instead of giving them space to improve and do better, they’re just destroyed instead.”

Fans shouldn’t be surprised that Harry would find a way to return the song to its origins as it was inspired by a real sushi restaurant.

“I was in a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles with my producer and one of our songs came on from the last album,” he told NPR back in May. “I was like, ‘This is really strange music for a sushi restaurant.’ And then I was like, that would be a really fun album title, but then as the song started being made I kind of just set on ‘Music for a Sushi Restaurant.'”

Atif Aslam’s new song “Rafta Rafta” teaser is out now

Atif Aslam has released a trailer for his upcoming song ‘Rafta Rafta,’ which seems quite promising. The song stars Sajal Aly in the music video.

Atif and Sajal are shown seated in a boat, staring lovingly into each other’s eyes (or so we assume) while a flute plays soulful music in the teaser.

They are then pictured amid sandy dunes and mountains in some attractive fancy outfits. Sajal dons a flowing red gown while Aslam is dressed in a black suit with an embroidered blazer.

A poster released earlier showed the couple sitting cozily in front of a tent. Maybe they’re camped out in these sandy dunes. We can’t exactly tell if the setting is for the music video or not but we already know it will be a success because it’s an Atif Aslam song.

The Tarish Music is the label that is releasing the song. Hassam Baloch directed the video, produced by Tarun Chaudhary and Omer Ahmad, with music and lyrics by Raj Ranjodh.

The music video will be released on July 21,
