  • She called a “crush moment” to watch him in Mohabbatein.
  • She also spoke about how she was intimidated by his presence on set.

Tamannaah Bhatia, Jimmy Shergill, and Avinash Tiwary recently sat down for an engaging chat about their heist thriller Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, which premiered on Netflix in November 2024.

The trio, hosted by Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, discussed their filmography and shared behind-the-scenes anecdotes.

During the conversation, Tamannaah fondly recalled her admiration for Jimmy Shergill in Mohabbatein, calling it a “crush moment.” She added, “That was definitely a crush moment, why not.”

Avinash Tiwary echoed the sentiment, noting that Jimmy continues to receive love from fans globally, proving that his appeal remains strong even today. Tiwary also praised Shergill’s versatility and longevity in the industry, calling him an underrated artist.

Tamannaah also spoke about how she was initially intimidated by Jimmy’s presence on set. She confessed, “He is playing a cop; I didn’t know how to say ‘hello’ to him.” Jimmy humorously recalled that he had greeted her first, but she took the entire day to respond, likely due to staying in character.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Sikandar Ka Muqaddar marks the first collaboration between the actors and showcases their on-screen chemistry in a gripping narrative.

Aditya Chopra receives praise for his remark about not being able to cast Uday Chopra

Aditya Chopra
  • Aditya Chopra’s views on nepotism have won him praise from moviegoers.
  • Aditya Chopra has made a very rare appearance in the new docuseries.
  • Many have praised the filmmaker for his honest views on the same.

Aditya Chopra made a rare appearance in Netflix’s new docuseries The Romantics. His views on nepotism and how even his massive film company, Yash Raj Films, was unable to make his brother Uday Chopra a star have earned him plaudits from moviegoers. Many people have praised the filmmaker for his candid views on the subject.

In The Romantics, Aditya Chopra discussed nepotism and why Uday Chopra struggled in his acting career. “My brother is an actor, and he’s not a very successful actor,” he explained. Now, here is the son of a major filmmaker, as well as the brother of a major filmmaker. Consider YRF, which has probably launched the most newcomers, and how we could not make him a star. Why couldn’t we do it for ourselves? Because the bottom line is, only an audience will decide, ‘I like this person, I want to see this person’. Nobody else can make that decision.”

When the docuseries clip was shared on Reddit, one fan commented, “First time I’ve heard this guy talk. He has excellent communication skills.” “He was definitely one of the best parts of the documentary for me,” said another. He deserves to be where he is because he is so eloquent and down to earth.” “Man, that’s deep imagine someone like Adi Chopra saying about his own brother,” said another. “Honestly, I liked Adi Chopra and his views,” one commenter said.

“I remember when Mohabbatein first came out, most girls had a crush on Jimmy Shergill,” a Reddit user said of Uday’s debut with Mohabbatein. Plus, I believe Jimmy and Preeti’s story had more material than Uday and Shamita’s… theirs was simply he fell for her and then she did… Jimmy and Jugal had more material, even if their screentime was roughly equal. Perhaps because Aditya was aware that the other boys were better actors.” Someone else also stated, “The times have changed. The current nepo kids are pushed down our throats, but Uday was not.”

“He basically indirectly called out the audience, because the audience hypes these Nepo kids and then blames Bollywood for not allowing outsiders like SSR,” said another commenter.

Uday Chopra appeared in approximately ten films after his debut with Mohabbatein in 2000. His most recent appearance was in the 2013 film Dhoom 3, where he reprised his role as Sub-Inspector Ali for the third time.

Shamita Shetty remembers a time after Zeher when “industry” wasn’t offering her work

Shamita Shetty
  • Shamita Shetty recently opened up about her initial years in Bollywood after debuting in Mohabbatein
  • Shamita Shetty wishes to get more work and is looking forward to her upcoming film, The Tenant.
  • She is also hopeful about impressing the audience with her upcoming film.

Actress Shamita Shetty recently discussed her early years in Bollywood after making her acting debut in Mohabbatein. Shamita’s career got off to a terrific start when she won the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year (Female) following Mohabbatein. However, the actor only appeared in a small number of movies after that. In a recent interview, Shamita discussed the situation and expressed her desire to have had more work back then. She also hopes that her upcoming movie, The Tenant, will dazzle the audience.

Shilpa Shetty’s younger sibling is Shamita Shetty. Her most recent feature film was Cash, which came out in 2007. She will next be featured in Sushrut Jain’s The Tenant, playing the primary character Meera, a single woman who moves to a new culture and encounters difficulties. The motion picture will debut on February 10.

Shamita talked openly about her struggles in the profession in advance of the release of The Tenant, which brings the actor’s absence from movies of more than 16 years to an end. “To start off with the finest and then to abruptly see this decline,” she told GoodTimes. With Yash Raj Films, I began. The events that followed, or more specifically the work that I was given, did not go as planned. Having said that, I don’t believe I realized how much I liked performing until I made my acting debut in Mohabbatein. I believe the incident occurred to me while I was filming for Zeher. P developed a greater appetite for labor after that. I was curious to learn more.

Sadly, the business wasn’t paying me more. So, as I mentioned, things didn’t turn out quite the way I had hoped. Then, there were typically 4 or more-year intervals between each of my releases. And whenever I released a new album, people would remark, “Oh, it’s your comeback.” Why return once more? I did, however, wish that more work had come in. I’m hoping that with The Tenant, the industry will recognize some potential in me and choose to give me a job that will benefit me and feel deserving of my abilities.

Shamita became extremely well-known outside of movies after appearing in Bigg Boss season 15. She was eliminated during the finals round and finished the competition as the third runner-up.
