PM Shehbaz felicitates Hindu community on Holi

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his felicitations to the Hindu community on the auspicious occasion of Holi festival – the Festival of Colors.

In a message, he said, “As Pakistanis we take pride in the multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-cultural and multi-religious characteristics of our society.”

“Let us commemorate this day with a resolve to celebrate our differences as strengths. May the arrival of spring bring new beginnings, hope, and happiness to us all. Happy Holi to all who celebrate!” he added.

On the other hand, Hindu community in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi celebrated the spring festival of Holi on Monday.

Pakistan Hindu and Sikh Welfare Association organized special worship services at the temple and distributed parashad among the devotees.

A large number of Hindu community participated in the festivities and later they threw colour at each other.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended his heartiest felicitations and greetings to the Hindu community across the globe on the festive occasion of Holi.

In his Twitter message, the prime minister conveyed his greetings to the Hindus around the world and especially to the Pakistani Hindu community.

He also wished ‘the festival of colours and spring’ to bring peace and joy for all.

On the other hand, in a big relief for poor, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a Ramazan package providing free wheat flour to the inflation-hit people.

The package is first of its kind aimed at facilitating the poor population.

Chairing a review meeting, the prime minister said after its launch in Punjab, the federal government would extend cooperation to provinces to replicate the programme.
