Hamza Ali Abbasi says there is massive religious discrimination in Pakistan

Former Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi on Saturday expressed his thoughts through his tweet about the recent temple construction in Islamabad.

After the Capital Development Authority had stopped the construction of the temple after religious circles exerted pressure on the government, Hamza took to his Twitter account and said “there is massive religious discrimination in Pakistan.”

Although Abbasi did not mention anything regarding the temple, his tweet was vividly referencing the issue. Hamza wrote,

“Pakistan is not an empire/kingdom. We Muslims didn’t CONQUER Pakistan, we are a Muslim Majority Nation-State. On 14th August 1947, every 1 who resided in the boundary of PAK BECAME AN EQUAL CITIZEN. No more hypocrisy, I admit that there is massive religious discrimination in Pakistan.”

This is not the first time when Abbasi talked about the rights and the issues faced by minorities in Pakistan.
