Bilawal calls for early recovery of Pakistanis in Myanmar

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday, taking notice of reported kidnapping of three Pakistanis in Myanmar, called upon the concerned authorities to take measures for their recovery and repatriation.

In a statement issued from Media Cell Bilawal House, he stressed for utilizing diplomat channels to locate and recover three boys namely Kashif Hussain, Faraz Khan and Shehroz Khan of Hyderabad, who travelled to Thailand from where they were allegedly taken to Myanmar and held hostage.

Bilawal Bhutto expressed sympathy with the loved ones of these boys and assured PPP will raise voice at all relevant forums for the recovery of these boys.

Bilawal pays tributes to Benazir Bhutto on her 71st birth anniversary

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid rich tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her 71st birth anniversary, describing her as a leader who embodied vision, values, and progress.

According to a press release from Media Cell Bilawal House, he said that June 21 marks a significant day of reflection for the nation.

“On this occasion, I honor my mother, a beacon of hope, resilience, and inspiration” he added.

Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, he said, propelled Pakistan forward in scientific, economic, and industrial fields, tirelessly working for tolerance, unity, civil liberties, and democracy.

The PPP chairman said, Benazir Bhutto believed in equal opportunities, envisioning a Pakistan where prosperity was shared, and no one was left behind,” he highlighted.

Bilawal Bhutto said that despite facing severe trials and solitary confinement by dictatorial regimes, Shaheed BB remained steadfast, fighting against tyranny until her last breath.

“She taught us the power of forgiveness and that true leadership rises above personal grudges,” he added.

Sindh Govt decides to launch Kissan card

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah presiding over a cabinet meeting decided to launch Kissan Card to support peasants.

Chairman Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given clear instructions for the issuance of Kissan cards and preparing a plan to carry out development initiatives in every district. “I want to constitute a committee to implement the Election Manifesto of the party so that all the 10 points as announced by the chairman can be implemented in true letter and spirit,” he said.

He said that Kissan Cards would be issued to farmers benefiting from various government programmes. He added that it aimed at consolidating the recipient’s information for transparent and efficient implementation of these interventions.

CM Sindh said that his government would develop a digital platform and provide all district administrations with user logins to enter details of farmers in their jurisdictions.The information added to the system would pertain to demographics, contact details, crops and landholding patterns, livestock, irrigation system and mechanization.

Murad Shah said that this initiative would result in an appropriate allocation of schemes to the right farmers, ease in broadcasting messages to the larger masses and the creation of a centralized database.

He said that the Kissan card holders would be given preference in the procurement of wheat and held in case of natural disasters. Mr Shah constituted a committee with the Minister of Irrigation, SMBR, and Secretary of Agriculture to start developing data and submit their recommendations.
