She was overjoyed because she had flown out to Los Angeles for the audition, where she met Blake Lively, who played Karen, as well as Lacey Chabert and Lindsay Lohan. After auditioning on her way home, Amanda Seyfried received a call from the casting team informing her that she might be cast as Karen in Mean Girls.
