Blake Lively sparked controversy at the Another Simple Favor red carpet event after a viral video showed her directing co-star Michele Morrone away from a bright yellow backdrop. Reports suggested Lively disliked the lighting, believing it did not flatter her. Her team was also seen adjusting her look, leading to online backlash.

Social media users criticized her behavior, with one commenting, “Blake Lively, AKA Plantation Barbie, did a ‘costume change’ on the red carpet…The delusion and narcissism is egregious.” Another added, “I’ve never understood why Blake Lively was considered a fashion icon.”

The backlash comes amid Lively’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni, whom she accused of misconduct. Baldoni has countersued for defamation.

At the event, co-star Anna Kendrick remained neutral when asked about Lively’s legal troubles, replying, “Why, what happened? I did Ayahuasca, and the last year of my life is just gone, but I’ve heard the movie is amazing.”

Body language expert Judi James noted tension between Lively and Kendrick, stating, “Blake is performing an eye-smile, but Anna’s ‘smile’ doesn’t seem to have reached her eyes.”

Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit labelled as ‘feud between PR firms’ by court

Blake Lively
  • The legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni took a new turn.
  • Federal judge characterized the case as a “feud between PR firms.”
  • Lively had filed a lawsuit against Baldoni for sexual harassment.

The legal dispute between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni took a new turn as a federal judge characterized the case as a “feud between PR firms.” On Thursday, March 6, Judge Lewis J. Liman set the parameters for a protective order hearing regarding the extent of public disclosure in the high-profile case.

During the virtual session, Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, pushed for a protective order to prevent the disclosure of private texts between the actress and her celebrity friends, citing confidentiality concerns.

“There is a significant chance of irreparable harm if marginal conversations with high-profile individuals with no relevance to the case were to fall into the wrong hands,” attorney Meryl Governski stated, according to Page Six. She also accused the opposing side of leveraging confidential materials for PR advantage.

Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, argued that his client has the right to defend himself without damaging Lively’s reputation. “Because there are powerful people in the industry… somehow there is a different law that applies to them,” Freedman remarked, referencing the alleged PR influence at play.

Lively had filed a lawsuit against Baldoni for sexual harassment and a smear campaign, while Baldoni has countersued for $400 million, citing defamation and extortion. The trial is set for March 9, 2026.

Justin Baldoni to use Ryan Reynolds’ SNL joke as defense in lawsuit reportedly

Ryan Reynolds
  • Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds attended the 50th anniversary of SNL.
  • Despite their legal troubles, the couple appeared in good spirits.
  • Reynolds even makes light of the situation.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds made their first red carpet appearance since the It Ends With Us legal battle erupted, attending the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special on Sunday. Their presence at the star-studded event came amid their ongoing lawsuit against the film’s director, Justin Baldoni.

Despite their legal troubles, the couple appeared in good spirits, with Reynolds even making light of the situation. When asked how he was doing, the Free Guy star jokingly replied, “Great! Why, what have you heard?” His remark drew laughter from those around him.

Following the now-viral moment, an insider told Page Six that Baldoni’s legal team might use the public outing to their advantage. “It’s very plausible that Justin’s legal team will use this public outing to defend him,” the source revealed, adding, “Justin is taking this lawsuit in all seriousness and isn’t making a public mockery out of it.”

While Baldoni’s legal team may see this as beneficial, Hollywood insiders reportedly disapproved of Lively and Reynolds’ decision to attend. “People in Hollywood think Blake and Ryan attending the ‘SNL’ 50th anniversary show was not a good look,” an insider stated, adding, “They think they should have sat this one out.”

Lively previously accused Baldoni of fostering a “hostile” work environment and orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her. In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds, along with a $250 million libel suit against New York Post.

During the show, hosts and SNL veterans Tina Fey and Amy Poehler acknowledged the couple in the audience. “Ryan! How’s it going?” they asked. Reynolds, known for his quick wit, responded, “Great! Why what have you heard.” Lively, who had been smiling, looked at him in shock, seemingly caught off guard by the joke.

Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni’s legal battle heads to trial in 2026

Blake Lively
  • Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have reached one conclusion.
  • They will continue to disagree with each other.
  • A trial date has been set for March 2026.

After two months of intense legal disputes, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have reached one conclusion: they will continue to disagree. A trial date has been set for March 2026, as both parties remain firm in their lawsuits against each other.

On Thursday, their legal teams submitted a joint letter to the Manhattan judge overseeing their case. Lively’s lawyers indicated plans to “imminently” expand their list of defendants, though no names have been disclosed.

Lively first filed her lawsuit on December 31, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment on set and fostering a “hostile” work environment. She also alleged he launched a retaliatory “smear campaign” against her. In response, Baldoni countersued two weeks later, seeking $400 million in defamation damages. His suit named Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicists as co-defendants. Around the same time, Baldoni also filed a defamation lawsuit against The New York Times over its report on Lively’s accusations.

Despite a court order in January requiring mediation, both parties believe a settlement is “inappropriate” and “premature.” The letter, cited by Business Insider, states that they have determined “that settlement discussions would be premature” and mediation remains “inappropriate.” The case now moves forward as both sides prepare for trial.

Judd Apatow took a sharp comedic approach while hosting the 77th Annual Directors Guild of America (DGA) Awards on Feb. 8, targeting several 2024 films and ongoing Hollywood controversies—including the legal battle surrounding Blake Lively.

“I loved Wicked. I saw it four times in the first four days,” Apatow joked. “It was the highest-grossing movie musical of all time. Do you know that? Usually to make that much money, you have to sue Blake Lively.”

Lively, 37, has been involved in multiple lawsuits after filing a sexual harassment complaint against It Ends with Us co-star Justin Baldoni in December 2024. Baldoni, 41, responded with a $400 million defamation suit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane. Meanwhile, publicist Jed Wallace also sued Lively after she accused him of aiding a smear campaign.

Blake Lively again in legal trouble, PR firm files defamation lawsuit

Blake Lively
  • Blake Lively is facing legal trouble once again.
  • Jed Wallace of Street Relations accused her of defamation.
  • Wallace’s lawsuit seeks at least $7 million.

Blake Lively is facing legal trouble once again, this time over a defamation lawsuit filed by crisis management expert Jed Wallace of Street Relations. Wallace has accused the Gossip Girl star of unjustly dragging him into her ongoing legal battle with It Ends With Us director-actor Justin Baldoni. Filed in a Texas federal court, Wallace’s lawsuit seeks at least $7 million and a court order clearing his name of any wrongdoing.

The dispute began when Lively accused Wallace of assisting Baldoni’s team in orchestrating a smear campaign against her on social media. She claimed Wallace helped create fake content to attack her while defending Baldoni, allegedly influencing public opinion and generating negative media coverage.

Wallace, however, denies any involvement, stating that he has been falsely implicated in Lively’s sexual harassment and retaliation complaints. “Neither Wallace nor Street had anything to do with the alleged sexual harassment, retaliation, failure to investigate or aiding and abetting the alleged harassment or alleged retaliation. Neither could they have breached a contract with Lively because no such contract exists,” said Wallace’s attorney, Charles Babcock.

Lively’s legal team dismissed the lawsuit as retaliatory. “Another day, another state, another nine-figure lawsuit seeking to sue Ms. Lively ‘into oblivion’ for speaking out against sexual harassment and retaliation,” her lawyers stated. They added, “While this lawsuit will be dismissed, we are pleased that Mr. Wallace has finally emerged from the shadows, and that he too will be held accountable in federal court.”

Justin Baldoni launches website to dispute Blake Lively’s allegations

Justin Baldoni
  • Justin Baldoni has launched a website to refute Blake Lively’s allegations.
  • The site went live on February 1.
  • It is aimed at detailing his grievances and the film’s production history.

Director Justin Baldoni has launched a website, thelawsuitinfo.com, aimed at refuting Blake Lively’s accusations against him. The site, which went live on February 1, features key legal documents, including the Amended Complaint (224 pages) and a Timeline of Relevant Events (168 pages), detailing his grievances and the film’s production history.

Baldoni’s legal team previously hinted at the website, stating it would present “all correspondence as well as relevant videos” to counter Lively’s claims. His lawyer, Bryan Freedman, defended the move, saying, “Justin and team have the right to defend themselves with the truth. And this is what we will be continuing to show with the upcoming website.”

The site includes email and text exchanges, set footage from It Ends With Us, and legal filings to provide context. Baldoni’s team maintains that the website is for transparency, allowing the public to “see the facts and form their own opinions.”

Lively’s legal team condemned the move, calling it an intimidation tactic. “This is an age-old story: A woman speaks up with evidence, and the accused tries to flip the narrative,” they said, likening Baldoni’s actions to DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender).

Baldoni is suing Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and publicist Leslie Sloan for $400 million, alleging they conspired with the media to damage his reputation.

He further added, “It’s going to be a very consuming, very difficult, very challenging time for the parties going ahead. I think they both got great lawyers, but they’re going to pay a lot of money and it’s going to be a lot of emotional turmoil.”

Lively, 37, has filed a lawsuit against the 41-year-old It Ends With Us star, accusing him of sexual harassment during the film’s production in 2024. She also claims that Baldoni initiated a public smear campaign to “destroy” her reputation after she came forward with the allegations.

Blake Lively breaks silence over Justin Baldoni’s released footage from ‘It Ends With Us’

Blake Lively
  • Blake Lively responded after Justin Baldoni released a footage.
  • She insists that the video actually supports her claims.
  • Her lawyer emphasized that none of the interactions were pre-planned.

Blake Lively has responded after Justin Baldoni and his legal team released raw footage from the set of It Ends With Us, aiming to counter her sexual harassment allegations. The actress, 37, insists that the video, which captures three takes of a dance scene, actually supports her claims of discomfort during filming.

“Justin Baldoni and his lawyer may hope that this latest stunt will get ahead of the damaging evidence against him, but the video itself is damning,” Lively’s lawyer told TMZ.

Her legal team claims the footage clearly shows Baldoni “repeatedly leaning in toward Ms. Lively.” They further added that he told her how good she smells and talked with her out of character.

They argue that “every frame of the released footage corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her Complaint.”

Lively’s lawyer emphasized that none of the interactions were pre-planned: “Every moment of this was improvised by Mr. Baldoni with no discussion or consent in advance, and no intimacy coordinator present.”

Criticizing the footage release, they called it “another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public” and reaffirmed their commitment to legal action: “We are continuing our efforts to require Mr. Baldoni and his associates to answer in court, under oath.”

  • Justin Baldoni presented It Ends With Us footage to counter allegations.
  • It seeks to challenge Lively’s claims about inappropriate behavior.
  • According to his legal counsel, the footage disproves the accusations.

Justin Baldoni has presented raw footage from the set of It Ends With Us to counter sexual harassment allegations made by co-star Blake Lively. The 10-minute video, released by Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman and obtained by Page Six, seeks to challenge Lively’s claims about inappropriate behavior during a slow-dancing scene.

According to Baldoni’s legal counsel, the footage, filmed in May 2023, disproves the accusations. “The scene in question was designed to show the two characters falling in love and longing to be close to one another. Both actors are clearly behaving well within the scope of the scene and with mutual respect and professionalism,” the legal statement asserted.

The video captures Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 40, slow dancing in a bar set, exchanging lighthearted remarks between takes. At one point, Lively jokes about feeling “so nosey” when their noses touch, to which Baldoni responds, “I know. And my nose is so big.” Lively humorously adds, “Yes. I was hoping we could address this. It’s not too late,” suggesting surgery in jest.

In another clip, Baldoni jokes about getting beard on Lively, who responds about possibly transferring her spray tan to him. Baldoni replies, “It smells good.”

This footage, released in response to Lively’s December 2024 lawsuit, aims to provide a clearer context and refute her allegations.

Justin Baldoni alleges Blake Lively, Taylor Swift pressured him to accept rewrites of their film

Justin Baldoni
  • Justin Baldoni filed a new lawsuit against Blake Lively and her husband.
  • He alleged they controlled the production of It Ends With Us.
  • Lively allegedly pressured him into accepting rewrites using connections.

Actor-director Justin Baldoni has filed a $400 million lawsuit against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, alleging undue influence and control over the production of It Ends With Us. According to Baldoni, Lively used her connections with Reynolds and Taylor Swift to pressure him into accepting significant rewrites of a pivotal “rooftop scene” in the film.

In his 179-page lawsuit, Baldoni claims Lively rewrote the scene where her character, Lily Bloom, meets his character, Ryle Kincaid. Initially hesitant, Baldoni eventually agreed to review the changes. He recalls receiving a text from Lively after his initial resistance: “Your reaction didn’t feel great to me, Ryan, or Taylor.”

Baldoni alleges he was later invited to Lively and Reynolds’ New York City penthouse, where Swift was present. During the meeting, Swift and Reynolds reportedly praised Lively’s revisions, which Baldoni perceived as subtle coercion. After reviewing the script, Baldoni texted Lively, “I really love what you did. It really does help a lot… And I would have felt that way without Ryan or Taylor.”

Lively responded by likening herself to Khaleesi from Game of Thrones, saying, “I happen to have a few dragons… because my dragons also protect those I fight for.”

The lawsuit also disputes Lively’s prior allegations of sexual harassment, which Baldoni denies.

Justin Baldoni accuses Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds of career sabotage in counter lawsuit

Justin Baldoni
  • Justin Baldoni has intensified his legal battle with Blake Lively.
  • He filed a counter-lawsuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
  • He accused them of planning a campaign to undermine his career.

Actor and filmmaker Justin Baldoni has intensified his legal battle with co-star Blake Lively by filing a counter-lawsuit accusing her and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of orchestrating a campaign to undermine his career.

The $250 million lawsuit, filed against The New York Times, claims Lively sought to ban Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios team from attending the It Ends With Us premiere.

“Further undermining Baldoni’s role, Lively initially refused to permit his attendance at the film’s premiere,” court documents state. “Only after significant pressure did she reluctantly agree to allow Baldoni and the Wayfarer team to attend, but under humiliating conditions.”

Baldoni alleges that he and his team were segregated from the main cast, barred from the exclusive after-party, and forced to organize their own celebration at additional cost.

The lawsuit claims Baldoni and his family were confined to a basement holding area during the premiere, and his red carpet time was cut short. “Not only had Lively stolen the film, but she also robbed Baldoni and his team of any genuine opportunity to celebrate their hard work,” the suit states.

Baldoni has also implicated Reynolds, accusing him of “fat-shaming” Lively, pressuring Baldoni’s agency, WME, to drop him, and engaging in aggressive behavior. WME denied the allegations, stating, “In Baldoni’s filing, there is a claim that Reynolds pressured Baldoni’s agent at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere. This is not true.”

The legal feud marks a dramatic escalation in the fallout from the film’s production and premiere.

Justin Baldoni sues New York Times for supporting Blake Lively’s harassment allegations

Justin Baldoni
  • Justin Baldoni has filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against NYT.
  • The publication supported harassment allegations by Blake Lively.
  • Lively had previously accused Baldoni of sexual harassment.

Actor and filmmaker Justin Baldoni has filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times (NYT) following its publication of a story supporting harassment allegations by Blake Lively, his It Ends With Us co-star.

The lawsuit claims the article was “rife with inaccuracies” and relied on Lively’s “self-serving narrative” while omitting key evidence.

Lively had previously accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and a smear campaign in a complaint with the California Civil Rights Commission. She alleged Baldoni sought to damage her reputation after she confronted him and others about inappropriate behavior on set, bringing her husband, Ryan Reynolds, to a meeting. NYT’s article was the first to report on these allegations.

In his lawsuit, Baldoni, alongside producers Jamey Heath, Steve Sarowitz, and publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel, accuses NYT of defamation and invasion of privacy. The lawsuit claims Lively misused harassment allegations to gain control over the production while deflecting scrutiny of her personal life.

NYT defended its reporting, asserting it was based on extensive documentation and accurately quoted communications. The publication stated it plans to “vigorously defend” the lawsuit.

Lively also filed a second lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging emotional distress stemming from his alleged actions, which Baldoni has categorically denied.

The statement continued, “Throughout the filming of It Ends With Us, we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set, and we are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice.” They further condemned the use of domestic violence survivors’ stories, calling it “astounding hypocrisy.”

Lively’s complaint, filed with California Civil Rights authorities, accuses Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios of launching a “sophisticated, coordinated, and well-financed retaliation plan” after she raised concerns about on-set harassment. The alleged plan included planting false narratives online and amplifying Baldoni’s credibility while damaging hers.

Her demands, outlined after a tense meeting, included the banning of inappropriate content on set, limits on discussions about personal matters, and the presence of an intimacy coordinator during certain scenes. Despite the controversy, It Ends With Us, based on Colleen Hoover’s bestseller, debuted to a strong $50 million opening.

Baldoni’s legal team has called the allegations “completely false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious,” countering that crisis managers were hired to address Lively’s “demands and threats” during production.

The dispute has sparked significant public discussion, with Lively’s co-stars expressing admiration for her courage in standing up for workplace safety.

  • She claimed professional sabotage and inappropriate behavior on set.

Actress Blake Lively has accused her It Ends with Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni of actions that allegedly damaged her career and created a “hostile work environment.”

In a formal complaint filed with the California Civil Rights Department, Lively outlined claims of professional sabotage and inappropriate behavior on set.

Lively stated that the fallout cost her significant opportunities, including hosting the premiere of Saturday Night Live’s 50th-anniversary season in September 2024.

According to the filing, she also canceled a major Target corporate event for her hair care brand. “The effects on Ms. Lively’s professional life were immediate and substantial,” the complaint read. “Given the ongoing nature of the campaign and the associated negative public sentiment, Ms. Lively did not believe she could proceed with public appearances or events without being forced to openly discuss what happened on set.”

Lively further alleged that Baldoni made inappropriate comments about her weight, discussed his sex life, and pressured her to disclose her religious beliefs during a January 2024 meeting. Additionally, she accused producer Jamey Heath of showing her a video of his wife giving birth, calling it highly inappropriate.

In response, Baldoni and his studio’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, dismissed the claims as “completely false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious.”
