“My daughter is engaged to Shaheen”, confirms Shahid Afridi

Shahid Afridi has recently confirmed in a recent interview that his daughter Aqsa is engaged to Pakistani bowler Shaheen Afridi.

Boom Boom Afridi said,

“My daughter is engaged to Shaheen, Alhamdulillah. We are not relatives but Shaheen’s family was approaching us for the last two years for the proposal. I asked my daughter and we made the decision altogether. My daughter currently completed her FSC exams.”

It was earlier assumed that cricketer Shaheen Afridi will soon get engaged to legend Shahid Afridi’s daughter.

Lala earlier took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and affirmed that,

“Shaheen’s family approached my family for my daughter. Both families are in touch, matches are made in heaven if Allah wills this match will be made too.”

He went on to write,

“My prayers are with Shaheen for his continued success on and off the field.”

On the other hand, Shaheed replied to his to-be father-in-law,

“Alhumdulillah. Thanks, Lala for your prayers. May Allah SWT make things easier for everyone. You are the pride of entire nation.”

The news regarding Shaheen Afridi and Shahid Afridi’s daughter’s engagement broke the internet earlier. However, Shahid Afridi has finally affirmed the reports.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Boom Boom Afridi revealed,

“Shaheen’s family approached my family for my daughter. Both families are in touch, matches are made in heaven if Allah wills this match will be made too.”

He went on to write,

“My prayers are with Shaheen for his continued success on and off the field.”

Replying to his to-be father-in-law’s tweet, Shaheen said,

“Alhumdulillah. Thanks, Lala for your prayers. May Allah SWT make things easier for everyone. You are the pride of entire nation.”

Earlier, media reports stated in a tweet, “With permission from both families, I would like to clarify the engagement rumours between Shaheen Afridi and the daughter of Shahid Afridi. The proposal has been accepted; it is thought that a formal engagement will be done within 2 years, following the completion of her education.”

“The reason behind this tweet is to clarify the suspicion caused by social media. With respect to both families; please do await their own official announcements as they are currently in talks. I would like to request all individuals to respect their privacy during this auspicious time,” the other tweet read.

Lahore Qalandars Win Against Karachi Kings By 6 Wickets

The Qalandars chased down a challenging total of 187 and won by six wickets against Karachi Kings, in the eleventh match of PSL 6 at the National Stadium on Sunday.

Kings’ Sharjeel Khan (64 off 39 balls) and Mohammad Nabi (57 off 35 balls) were able to steer the side to the sizeable total after an early set back as the side lost three wickets inside of five overs.

PSL 2021: Karachi Kings give 187 run-target to Lahore Qalandars

Karachi Kings have given a challenging 187 run-target to Lahore Qalandars in the eleventh match of the Pakistan Super League’s sixth edition (PSL 6) played on Sunday at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Mohammad Nabi and Sharjeel Khan outshined in the match by scoring a half-century. Nabi made 57 runs out of 35 balls with four 4s and three 6s.

On the other hand, Sharjeel Khan made his half-century in just 34 balls. He got out after making 64 runs with smashing five 4s and blazing six 6s.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars had won the toss and decided to field against Karachi Kings. Both teams have already set the stadium on fire.
