MDCAT 2020: PMC to declare result on December 16

MDCAT 2020 result date is approaching as the Pakistan medical commission (PMC) had announced to declare the result of the entrance exam on 16th December.

The MDCAT 2020 was conducted on November 29th across Pakistan in which approximately 125,000 candidates had registered to appear in the test. Another special MDCAT exam was conducted on 13th December 2020 for candidates who could take the previous test due to the COVID-19.

Also, PMC had conducted the special MDCAT test for the coronavirus positive candidates.

MDCAT Result Announcement

Earlier, the Sindh High Court (SHC) had ordered the PMC to announce the result of both MDCAT exams at the same time and also devise the same merit list for the candidates.

SHC had also appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan medical commission to facilitate the students regarding the queries related to the MDCAT exam.

The Legality of MDCAT 2020

A petition over the legality of MDCAT 2020 was also filed in the SHC that stated that some of the questions in the MDCAT exam held on 29th November were out of the syllabus. Before the commencement of the test PMC had provided the syllabus to the candidates and announced that no question would be asked out of the syllabus and in the case of any confusion, the students can submit their complaints to the concerned authorities.

It is also notified that if the merit list for the medical entry test will be issued before the final decision of the Sindh high court it will not be considered valid. Best wishes to all the result awaiting candidates of MDCAT.

COVID-19: Pakistan records 2,362 new cases during 24 hours

2,362 new cases with 36 deaths have been reported in Pakistan due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the details, 36 more people lost their lives battling with the novel virus, taking the death toll to 8,832. Moreover, 1,719 people have recovered from the virus, and 2,456 patients reported to be in critical condition during the last 24 hours.

The total count of active corona cases in Pakistan is 47,236.

With the new coronavirus cases, the national tally of cases currently stands at 440,787.

During this period, 31,830 tests were conducted across Pakistan. 384,719 people have recovered from the deadly virus so far.
