For the newest song from Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir Kapoor is back on the dance floor, this time with a lovely Shraddha Kapoor wearing a yellow sari. The upbeat dance performance, Show Me The Thumka, which was released on Tuesday, features both actors dressed as desis and competing with one another in a large open courtyard of a home.
Following Tera Pyaar Mein and Pyaar Hota Kai Baar Hai, Ranbir returns to his romantic hero persona in the third song of the album, which was composed by Pritam. He dons a sparkling blue kurta and displays his impeccable desi movements on the dance floor. Meanwhile, Shraddha is challenging Ranbir while looking stunning in a yellow sari. Each of them tries to demonstrate their dance moves in the song in a separate group of guys and girls from their own tribe. Shraddha responds to Ranbir’s opening words, “By god tu lagti hai jaise, Swimming pool mei, Phool kamal ka, (You look like a lotus in the swimming pool)” by saying, “Chal dikha zara, Jo tera dance move hai, Kaahe ka attitude hai, Swag ye jhooth moot hai. (Show me your dance moves, for which you hold such fake attitude)”
Show Me The Thumka, which features music by Sunidhi Chauhan and Shashwat Singh and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, is choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and features some avant-garde dance techniques in which Ranbir can be seen whirling Shraddha while he is on his knees. In the song, actor Dimple Kapadia also makes a presence. In this song, Ranbir’s dancing and loving persona are highly reminiscent of Dilli Waali Girlfriend from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Viewers praised the dance movements and the chemistry between the two stars in their ecstatic comments. Another fan mentioned Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’s similarities and stated, “Dilliwali Girlfriend, Balam Pichkari, and right now Show Me The Thumka. Ranbir Kapoor is making a comeback in rom-coms.” The connection between Ranbir and Shraddha Kapoor is something else, according to one critic, while another stated that the couple “is looking quite fresh indeed.” Sunidhi Chauhan’s vocals were commended by a fan, who stated, “Sunidhi Chauhan’s voice has an aura that could only be found on another planet. In Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir will appear opposite Shraddha Kapoor for the first time. The publication date is March 8, 2023. Ranbir’s most recent appearance was in the 2022 box office juggernaut Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji. Shraddha, on the other hand, had a special appearance in Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya before that.
