Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant made their red carpet debut as a couple in 2019 intriguing everyone’s interest in her.

Keanu Reeves is a tremendous superstar whose success is simply unfathomable. Yet, the actor is recognised for being really humble and down to earth. He also manages to keep his personal life private, which is difficult for such a popular personality. He was the most eligible bachelor in Hollywood for a long time, until he made his public debut with his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, in 2019. It absolutely destroyed the hearts of many female admirers. But first, get a box of tissues and figure out who Alexdra Grant is. Here’s all you need to know about the girlfriend of John Wick 4’s actor.

According to reports, Keanu and Grant kissed many times last year. They have also been pals for a very long time.

Keanu Reeves’ girlfriend is as as stunning as the star himself, if not more so. Alexandra Grant is a skilled visual artist who is fluent in several languages, including French and Spanish. In 2019, she told the Los Angeles Weekly that she grew up between ‘languages and cultures’ in Mexico City, Washington, DC, and Paris.

Alexandra Grant, the daughter of professors (yes, many), taught in a few institutions around the United States. She has also held the position of college lecturer. She supervised in the Pacific Northwest College of Art’s Distance MFA programme from 2012 to 2014, and then continued it the following year at Syracuse University. Grant and Keanu Reeves have even collaborated on books.

Ode To Happiness, written by Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant, was published in 2011. Grant’s artwork and Reeves’ writing are included in the picture book. This is their first book in the field. After that, in 2017, she and the actor co-founded X Artist’s Books, or XAB.

Alexandra Grant’s Instagram account says she is ordained to perform marriages, but the list doesn’t end there. The artist posted a photo of herself presiding at a wedding. Grant is a philanthropist as well. In 2008, she founded grantLOVE, a project that develops and sells original art works to help artist initiatives and arts non-profits. Grant’s idea purportedly benefited a large number of people by generating finances.

For the record, Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant met at a social event in 2009 and shared a deep friendship before they became couples. Reeves‘ John Wick 4 co-star Rina Sawayama shared her thoughts on the couple recently. She and Keanu were in Berlin shooting for their film, and Grant was there. Speaking of the couple, Rina said, “They’re wonderful. We actually spent some time in Berlin … had some dinners, and it was great group dinners, and that was wonderful. Beautiful, beautiful as a couple, beautiful people.”

Paris Hilton recalls growing up with Paedophilia

Paris Hilton
  • Paris Hilton makes a shocking revelation that a pedophile abused her in her teen years.
  • She is one of Hollywood’s most glamorous stars.
  • She believes that her story would help her fans understand her better.

In her new memoir, Paris Hilton makes a shocking revelation that a pedophile abused her in her teen years.

Paris Hilton is one of Hollywood’s most glamorous stars. She is a wealthy entrepreneur and one of the Hilton hotel chain’s heirs. While her life appears to be great on the surface, the reality is completely different. A few years ago, the singer recounted the abuse she endured as a kid at her Utah boarding school. einsteineruploaded with.
The ‘Stars Are Blind’ singer recently released her book. In the book, she made some stunning discoveries and alleged that her instructor assaulted her as a youngster.

Paris Hilton said it all started when the teacher, whom she labelled as Mr. Abercrombie, told her he had a crush on her. She liked how he gave her attention and made her feel special. He even groomed her so she could come across as a grown-up in her school. She wrote in her memoir, ‘Paris: A Memoir,’ “Mr. Abercrombie called me almost every night, and we talked for hours about how amazingly mature, beautiful, and intelligent I was, how sensual, misunderstood, and special I was.”

When Paris Hilton relocated to Paris, the teacher paid her secret visits when her parents weren’t around. During one such meeting, the actress sneaked out of her house and got into his car. She said, “Teacher pulled me into his arms and kissed me.” Her parents caught her in the act and sent her to France for the entire summer. She refused to dwell on the incident for years. Paris discussed it in her memoir because media houses manipulated her story and built a wrong narrative.

The House of Wax actress also expressed that it took her years to come to terms with the abuse she experienced. “It took decades for me to actually speak the word pedophile. Casting him in the role of child molester meant casting myself in the role of victim, and I just couldn’t go there.”

Paris Hilton added that a child could not be held responsible for inappropriate adult behavior. She believes that her story would help her fans understand her better.

AIFD puts Pakistan on the Map, Showcasing Students’ Work in Paris during Paris Fashion Week under the Leadership of Maheen Lakhani

AIFD

The Asian Institute of Fashion Design – Iqra University through its students is all set to showcase a collection of work at the Hôtel d’Évreux located in Place Vendôme in Paris, France on March 5th, 2023. Place Vendôme is the most prestigious square in Paris and is home to designer brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, and Cartier. AIFD Students will be showcasing their work in Paris during Paris Fashion Week for the very first time, putting Pakistani designers at the forefront of the fashion landscape.

AIFD’s show in Paris will begin with their first ever student-made Fashion Film, ‘Enchanted Odyssey’ which will be followed by a showcase of the Top 10 looks from the AIFD Thesis Collection 2022.  The collection is going to be showcased at Hôtel d’Évreux in Place Vendôme which was built in the 17th century, the Hôtel d’Évreux is a model of Period architecture. With its 18th Directoire and Napoléon III style rooms, it’s a jewel of the Paris historical and assets heritage.

Fashion Weeks provide one’s brand a platform to be part of a prestigious and momentous global event. Young designers are given an opportunity to present their collections during off-schedule slots or presentations during Fashion Week. Many Fashion Weeks have events or spaces specifically designated for emerging designers to showcase their work during this coveted time of the year. Any brand that wishes to make an impact begins with Paris, during Paris Fashion Week. Propitiously this relates to the storyline of our Fashion Film, where a young girl’s dream of entering the fashion world is akin to how AIFD students envision themselves.

“As the CEO of AIFD, I wanted to break away from the norm and do the extraordinary and raise the bar for Fashion Institutions in Pakistan. At first, my team and I presented the thesis collection as a Fashion Film in December 2022 which was the first-ever Fashion Film by a Fashion institute in Pakistan and I certainly didn’t want to stop there. I wanted their degrees to feel like trophies and what better way than to finish it off with the representation of our students’ work on a runway in Paris during Paris Fashion Week? These students are not only presenting their collection but are proudly representing Pakistan on a global platform,” stated Co-Founder & CEO of AIFD Maheen Lakhani Ahmar.

Momal Sheikh, Hasan Rizvi, and Alizeh Pasha will be joining the AIFD Team as their Brand Ambassadors. All three members have always been very supportive of the students’ work. Momal and Alizeh had recently visited AIFD and often wear outfits from the students’ collections to highlight AIFD talent.

The work and efforts of the AIFD Thesis students are commendable and deserve recognition both internationally and locally. It is AIFD’s vision to provide emerging talent with a platform to jumpstart their career and garner recognition. AIFD has several other projects in the pipeline. More on that will be disclosed at a later date.

Trees could reduce urban heatwave mortality by one-third

Trees
  • Increasing tree cover to 30% would save 0.4 degrees Celsius.
  • Foliage covers somewhat less than 15% of urban areas in Europe on average.
  • This increased heat is mostly produced by a lack of greenery.

PARIS: Researchers suggested Wednesday that planting more trees in metropolitan areas to reduce summertime temperatures could reduce mortality directly attributable to hot weather and heatwaves by one-third.

According to their findings in The Lancet, increasing tree cover to 30% would save 0.4 degrees Celsius (0.7 degrees Fahrenheit) locally on average during the hot summer months.

According to the data, one-third of the 6,700 premature deaths caused by higher temperatures in 93 European towns in 2015 may have been avoided.

Currently, foliage covers somewhat less than 15% of urban areas in Europe on average.

According to lead author Tamar Iungman, a researcher at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, the study is the first to forecast the number of early deaths caused by higher temperatures in cities that could be avoided with more tree cover.

“We already know that high temperatures in urban environments are associated with negative health outcomes, such as cardiorespiratory failure, hospital admission, and premature death,” he said in a statement.

“Our goal is to inform local policy and decision-makers about the benefits of strategically integrating green infrastructure into urban planning in order to promote more sustainable, resilient, and healthy urban environments.”

The so-called urban heat island effect causes cities to have greater temperatures than surrounding suburbs or countryside.

This increased heat is mostly produced by a lack of greenery, air conditioning system exhaust, and dark-colored asphalt and building materials that absorb and trap heat.
Climate change has already exacerbated the situation. Last year was Europe’s hottest summer on record, and the second warmest year on record.

Health benefits

Heatwaves are reaching new highs and lasting longer in recent decades all around the planet.

Cold weather still kills more people in Europe than hot weather. However, climate models predict that heat-related disease and death will place a greater load on healthcare systems within a decade.

“This is getting more critical as Europe faces more dramatic temperature changes as a result of climate change,” Iungman added.

Between June and August 2015, the researchers calculated mortality rates for persons over the age of 20, accounting for 57 million people in total.

In two modeling scenarios, this data was analyzed in relation to daily average city temperatures.

The first contrasted the temperature of the city with and without urban heat islands. The second simulation simulated a 30% increase in tree cover, resulting in a temperature decrease.

During the summer of 2015, cities were 1.5 degrees Celsius warmer than the surrounding countryside. Cluj-Napoca, Romania, had the greatest temperature differential (4.1 degrees Celsius).

Across all cities, 75% of the total population lived in places that were at least one degree warmer, while 20% lived in locations that were at least two degrees warmer.

Overall, cities in southern and eastern Europe had the greatest temperature-related mortality rates.

“This is an important piece of research,” commented Laurence Wainwright, a lecturer at the University of Oxford’s Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment.

“Urban tree planting — on the right scale, in the right places, and under certain other conditions — likely leads to a modest-yet-real reduction in heat-related deaths in many urban areas.”

Previous research has shown that green areas can improve cognitive functioning in youngsters and the elderly, as well as reduce cardiovascular disease, dementia, and poor mental health.

France: Trains, flights cancelled in strike against pension reform

France
  • The legal retirement age would progressively climb from 62 to 64.
  • Workers’ unions have called for a major walkout on January 19.
  • The government has stated that it will not back down.

France, Paris: As part of a statewide strike over the government’s proposal to extend the amount of time individuals must work before they can retire, the majority of French trains will be cancelled on Thursday. Flights will also be impacted.

The administration will be put to the test on Thursday to see if the widespread opposition to the proposed reform, which would raise the retirement age from 62 to 64, can cause serious problems.

Workers’ unions have called for a major walkout on January 19 and a march through France. The government has stated that it will not back down and has urged workers not to paralyze the country.

Only one in three to one in five high-speed TGV lines will be operating, and only one in ten local TER trains, the SNCF train operator said.

International travel on the Eurostar and Thalys lines is expected to be nearly normal, but the Lyria connection with Switzerland is expected to be severely interrupted and other international rail connections are expected to be completely cancelled.

The vast majority of RER commuter trains in Paris will be cancelled, while three metro lines will be completely shut down and many more will be impacted, according to the RATP metro operator.

Meanwhile, one out of every five flights to and from Paris’ Orly airport is expected to be cancelled.

France has a decades-long history of attempts to reform its pension system

That worked in 1995 when millions came to the streets in the most disruptive social protests in the country since May 1968. Despite the protests, various further pension modifications have been implemented since.

According to the government’s plans, the legal retirement age would progressively climb from 62 to 64, while the number of years of payments required for a full pension will rise quicker than previously intended, reaching 43 years in 2027.

The change has still to be approved by parliament, where President Emmanuel Macron does not have an absolute majority but hopes to gain the support of the conservative Les Republicains party.
