Wedding Bells For Parineeti Chopra & Raghav Chadha? Latest Updates

Actress Parineeti Chopra pleasantly surprised everyone earlier this year by announcing her engagement to political leader Raghav Chadha. While they haven’t officially disclosed their wedding plans, the couple has been frequently spotted at airports, possibly visiting potential wedding venues. Now, it has come to light that Parineeti and Raghav are preparing for a grand wedding ceremony in Rajasthan next month.

As reported by Times of India, Parineeti and Raghav are all set to exchange vows on September 25 in a lavish ceremony to be held in Rajasthan. Their wedding is expected to be attended by close friends and family. Despite her ongoing commitments, Parineeti’s team has begun arranging for her wedding. A source shared, “The wedding will be a grand affair. Parineeti is keeping the festivities under wraps. Her team has started working out the details and her schedule. She will dive into her wedding preparations in the first week of September.” There are also rumours of a grand reception in Gurugram following the wedding.

However, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav kept quiet about these speculations until they officially announced their engagement. On May 13, they exchanged rings in an intimate yet exquisite ceremony held in Delhi. The event was attended by close friends and family, including Parineeti’s sister Priyanka Chopra. Stunning pictures from their special day were shared on their respective Instagram accounts. Parineeti looked stunning in an elegant outfit by Manish Malhotra, while Raghav wore a white achkan designed by Pawan Sachdeva. The much-awaited film “Ghallughara,” starring Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Rampal, has been making headlines in recent months due to its run-ins with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The board had raised objections to certain portions of the film, prompting them to suggest 21 changes, including alterations to dialogues and even a demand for a change in the movie’s title. Producer Ronnie Screwvala had taken the matter to the Bombay High Court in protest of these cuts.

While the fate of the film still hangs in the balance, there is exciting news on the horizon. “Ghallughara” is gearing up for its world premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The film will be first showcased to the audience at TIFF in September, with an official announcement expected soon. The premiere date is likely to be September 11. As part of the preparations, the film has been given a new title – “Punjab ’95.” An official announcement confirming the title change will be made in the coming days.

Despite the ongoing challenges with the CBFC, the makers are enthusiastic about taking their film to such a prominent festival like TIFF. Simultaneously, they are working towards securing a Censor Certificate for an eventual release in India, a process they have been pursuing since December of the previous year.

Producer Ronnie Screwvala has a history of success at TIFF, with his previous film “Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota,” directed by Vasan Bala, premiering at the festival in 2018 and winning the prestigious People’s Choice Award: Midnight Madness. Ronnie is known for backing content-driven films like “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” “Sonchiriya,” and “The Sky Is Pink.”

Apart from his work in “Ghallughara,” Diljit Dosanjh has other exciting projects in the pipeline. He will be seen next in Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s film “The Crew,” alongside talented stars like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon.

Diljit Dosanjh has posted a post about his home state amid all of Kangana Ranaut’s criticism of him in Punjab. After Kangana hinted that he would soon be arrested for “supporting” Khalistanis, he posted a message to Instagram.

Diljit posted a note in Punjabi to an Instagram Story that roughly translates to “may my Punjab keep thriving.” He also included an emoji of folded hands in his post.

This follows Kangana’s post, in which she warned Diljit that “pols” (police) would soon be after him. All those who backed the Khalistanis should keep in mind the following number: “Tumhara hai, pols aa chuki hai,” “Yeh woh waqt nahi hai,” “Jab koi bhi kuch bhi karta tha,” “Desh ke saath gaddari ya tukde karne ki koshish ab me Police are present. One is no longer able to do whatever they want. It will cost you a lot to betray or destroy the country),” she wrote.
All of this is taking place as Amritpal Singh continues to defy authorities for the fifth day in a row. On Tuesday, the Punjab Police stated that they had made 154 arrests for interfering with “peace and harmony” in the state. The Punjab government had on Tuesday broadened the suspension of versatile web and SMS administrations in Pool Taran, Ferozepur, Moga, Sangrur, Ajnala sub-division in Amritsar and a couple of regions in Mohali till Thursday early afternoon, however checks were lifted from the remainder of the state from Tuesday early afternoon.

In the meantime, Diljit and Kangana had a fight in 2020 over the Farmer’s protests. It started with him alluding to a tweet posted by her in which she wrongly distinguished an elderly person at the continuous ranchers’ dissent as Bilkis, the substance of the Shaheen Bagh fight. He also responded to Kangana’s remarks about him, including her request that he declare that he is “not a Khalistani,” but he failed to do so. All of it, Diljit said, was a “drama.”

Diljit Dosanjh has once again been the target of Kangana Ranaut’s attacks. Kangana also issued a warning to actor and singer Diljit in the midst of the Punjab Police’s crackdown on Amritpal Singh, a radical Sikh preacher and Waris Punjab De chief. She used the expression “pols aagai pols” from a popular social media meme to address him.

Swiggy India first posted a tweet that Kangana shared on Twitter and Instagram Stories. With the phrase “pulse aagai pulse” written on it, it displayed a variety of pulses. In her tweet, she tagged Diljit and wrote, “just saying.” On Instagram Stories, she added a sticker with the word “Khalistan” crossed out. “Diljit Dosanjh ji pols aagai pols” was added later.

In another, she stated, “Every one of the people who upheld Khalistanis recall next number tumhara hai, pols aa chuki hai, yeh woh waqt nahi hai punch koi bhi kuch bhi karta tha, desh ke saath gaddari ya tukde karne ki koshish stomach muscle mehengi padegi (Recollect next up in you. Police are present. One can’t do anything they wish to any longer. If you want to destroy the country or betray it, it will cost you a lot.

Amritpal Singh and his associates were the targets of a Punjab Police operation on Saturday, which led to Kangana’s posts. According to the police, there have been 114 arrests so far in the case, and there is a strong suspicion of ISI involvement and foreign funding.

Ravneet Singh Bittu, a congressman from Ludhiana, has accused Diljit of supporting the Khalistanis in 2020. Diljit had responded, “I am an Indian taxpayer who has always stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the nation and Punjab in times of need.”

In the meantime, in 2020, Kangana and Diljit were at odds on social media. He started by mentioning a tweet she had posted in which she had mistakenly identified an elderly woman at the ongoing farmers’ protest as Bilkis, the Shaheen Bagh protest’s face. He also responded to Kangana’s remarks about him, including her request that he declare that he is “not a Khalistani,” but he failed to do so. All of it, Diljit said, was a “drama.”

Kangana had stated, “I openly challenged him to say just once that you are not a Khalistani, he didn’t say it,” in an interview with Arnab Goswami of Republic TV. Youth have been deceived, and a dream about Khalistan has been presented to them.

During the lockdown, Diljit started posting videos of himself cooking in his kitchen, and they became an instant hit. Now, the musician remembers how his cooking was so popular back then that it almost derailed his music career.

He says, “It all began because there was nobody to cook for me. I never had to worry about food. On shoots, there was food arranged. Same is the case with shows. At home, mummy would cook for me. I never had to face the tension of cooking. But the pandemic happened. And nobody was home and people were scared of going to each other’s houses. My cook stopped too. Now, I have always been fond of good food. I can’t eat just about anything.”

The singer used social media to learn how to cook on the go, and then he shared what he had learned with his millions of Instagram fans. “So, I decided to look at the experts in this field. I researched and learnt on YouTube. And when I learn anything, I have this urge as a performer to share it with everyone. Since I had nothing else to flaunt then, I shared those videos,” says Diljit.

Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh said that actor Ranveer Singh was ‘certainly considered’ for the starring role in Soorma instead of singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh . Ranveer Singh was not his first choice, according to Haryana’s minister of sports and youth affairs, because he wanted the person who would play him in his biopic to ‘look like a real Sikh.’

Soorma’s debut album was launched on this day on July 13 in 2018, and it hit the right chord with the audience. The storyline of the film was inspired by genuine events, and it focused on top hockey player Sandeep Singh, who was accidentally shot during a train journey in 2006. He was nearly paralyzed for a year, yet he overcame all odds and regained his ability to walk.

Sandeep Singh took it upon himself to train Diljit Dosanjh after he was cast in the role of his character on the big screen. He is all praises for the actor’s quick learning power. He says, “It was really easy training Diljit Dosanjh because his nature is as such that he picks up things really quick. It took me hardly three-four months to train Diljit because his learning power is quick.”

Sandeep Singh further said that he is grateful for the overwhelming response he received from the people. “I got the kind of love I wasn’t expecting,” he added. People were enthralled by my journey in the film. It wasn’t simple to tell my life narrative in 2 hours and 20 minutes on the screen because I had a lot of challenges throughout my life. You want to show everything that went on behind the scenes, but it’s impossible to do so.

However, the Soorma team did it so wonderfully. I owe it to them, especially Diljit Dosanjh, who did an excellent job in my capacity. I’d want to thank Taapsee Pannu, director Shaad Ali, and the producers for three years of Soorma (Chitrangada Singh and Deepak Singh). Everyone did a fantastic job of bringing the true tale to the audience.

Last year, Sandeep, also known as Flicker Singh, had confirmed a sequel to Soorma. The new film will be based on his political journey and will be titled Singh Soorma.
