Sidhu Moose Wala, a Punjabi singer, and politician was shot and killed in his car on May 29, 2022, in the Jawaharke hamlet of the Mansa region of Punjab.
One of the most surprising events of this year was his untimely death. Just one day prior to this tragic crime, the Punjab Police had removed the security of 424 individuals, including Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala.
This action was conducted as a part of the government of Bhagwant Mann’s campaign to combat VIP culture. Two gangsters who were thought to be among the shooters who killed the singer were now slain today in a confrontation with the police close to Amritsar.
Manpreet Singh alias Mannu Kussa and Jagroop Singh Roopa are two of the two gangsters who have died.
According to reports, three police officers were also hurt during the five-hour-long fight, which took place inside the Haveli, a deserted structure.
After the shooting, ADGP Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Pramod Ban talked to the media and said the following:
“Two sharp-shooters involved in Sidhu Moose Wala murder killed in the encounter. Police also recovered an AK-47 and a pistol along with heavy ammunition from the spot. Three policemen have also received minor injuries.”
He added, “We were keeping track of accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case and our task force saw some movement in this area. We acted upon it. Our forensic team is at the spot for further investigation.”
The gangsters’ weapons, an AK-47 and a pistol, have been found. Manpreet allegedly fired the first shot at the late musician Sidhu Moose Wala, according to police records. According to media accounts, Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder may have also included notorious mobster Lawrence Bishnoi.
