Instagram seems to have stopped working correctly

Instagram

The social networking service, Instagram seems to have stopped working correctly, with users grumpy they are not capable to use it as normal.

The news feed would not revive, direct messages would not send, or comments could not be written – also with not being able to enter into the app at all, were among the complaints.

The glitches were experienced around the globe, as per the tracking website Down Detector, which recommended there had been problems all morning but they had spiked around noon time.

But it did not seem to be affecting all users. Few seemed to be capable to load and interact with their news feed as usual – and it is not clear what permitted them to get around the problems.

Facebook, in a statement, stated that it was alert of the problems with Instagram. “We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience,”

Down Detector said that the problem could be with the company’s servers, and the same problems possibly are faced by WhatsApp and Facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook management have been observing to more carefully connect its three messaging platforms, with the expectation of letting them all be powered by the same backend.

Users would be able to communicate between the three apps in this way. However, critics have pointed out that it would make any regulatory split difficult or impossible – and that issues with one of Facebook’s services tend to spread to others.

Did you know what to do if WhatsApp is hacked?

Whatsapp will stop working on these 43 smartphones from November

The messaging application WhatsApp is now a part of our daily lives. While the protection of personal data while on the app was a major issue, now reports of WhatsApp being hacked have made it even more serious.

According to the private magazine, it has recently come to light that hackers want to block the accounts of more than two billion WhatsApp users around the world and steal their private data. There is a danger that at any time you or any of your friends may be hacked.

Technology experts have come up with some tips to prevent hacking, which will prevent hackers from stealing your personal data and damaging the contacts on your private account.

If your account is hacked, send a message to support@whatsapp.com informing the Twitter app that your personal account has been hacked. Mention the phone number on your account in the email.

Delete the application, download it, then try logging in again and repeat this process several times a day to confuse hackers.

People keep trying to log in to their accounts.

Tell your friends and family by text message or phone call that your account has been hacked and ask them not to reply to any messages from your hacked account.

If you haven’t already, turn on WhatsApp’s two-step verification feature.

Turn on the dual feature by entering your personal phone number in the data field of the application. If someone tries to hack the phone, the application will send you a six-digit code, so you can guess that someone is trying to hack and block your phone.

After the WhatsApp account is suspended, the app gives its users 30 days in which users can restore their files and media, after which this data is permanently deleted from the app’s backup.

Facebook Messenger is introducing end-to-end encrypt voice and video calls

How to Download Videos from Messenger

Facebook is introducing an end-to-end encryption feature for voice and video calls in their Messenger App. Facebook announced in a blog post that they are rolling out the change today along with new controls for its disappearing messages. Some of their users may also view new test features related to encryption.

Facebook Messenger has already got end-to-end encryption for text messages back in 2016 when Facebook added a “secret conversation” option to their app. Now that mode also supports calling. Facebook says they are adding the feature as interest in voice and video calls raise, saying that the Messenger app now sees more than 150 million video calls per day.

Facebook chat app WhatsApp is already offering to call with end-to-end encryption or E2EE, which prevents anyone but a sender and receiver from seeing the encrypted data. Similarly some other video calling apps like Zoom, Signal, and Apple’s FaceTime. Facebook characterizes E2EE as “becoming the industry standard” across messaging services. Previously rumors have proposed that Facebook might roll out a unified, end-to-end encrypted messaging system across WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram but up till now, nothing happened.

Text conversations are getting a smaller update that is if the person is setting a message to disappear, then he will see more options for picking when it expired, from between five seconds and 24 hours.

Facebook is also running a limited beta test for other features that are some users will see an option for end-to-end encrypted group chats and calls between “friends and family that already have an existing chat thread or are already connected.” While others will get support for Facebook’s existing non-E2EE controls over who can reach them on Messenger and finally if you are using Instagram, a “limited test” will offer opt-in E2EE for that app’s direct messages as well.
