After Putin warned against ‘intervention,’ Moscow argues that Western military support for Kyiv will ‘provoke instability.’

Russia claims that Western weaponry supplies to Ukraine pose a threat to European security. After warning that any attempt to “interfere” in Ukraine will be met with a rapid response from Moscow.
“By itself, the trend of sending arms, notably heavy weaponry, to Ukraine and other countries endangers the continent’s security and causes instability”; Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
Peskov was replying to a question on British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss’ remarks on Wednesday; in which she urged that countries opposing Russia’s invasion must step up their support, including by sending heavy weapons, tanks, and planes to Kyiv.
Kyiv has received billions of dollars in military aid from its Western friends, with the US and the NATO transatlantic military alliance leading the charge.
The support started off slowly, with largely defensive infantry weaponry, but has now expanded to include heavy artillery and drones.
