Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has announced that Tehran will rebuild its nuclear facilities with greater strength, emphasizing that the country has no intention of developing nuclear weapons.
Speaking to state media, President Pezeshkian said Iran remains firm despite US threats of further attacks on its nuclear sites. He stated that the destroyed buildings and factories will be rebuilt to make Iran even stronger.
According to international news agencies, the Iranian president reiterated that the US airstrikes carried out in June were not unexpected, and that Iran will emerge more powerful by reconstructing its damaged infrastructure.
Earlier, former US President Donald Trump had warned Iran that any attempt to restore its nuclear program would lead to additional US strikes on its nuclear facilities. Trump claimed that Iran’s program was aimed at producing nuclear weapons — an allegation Tehran has repeatedly denied.
President Pezeshkian clarified that Iran’s nuclear program serves only peaceful purposes, focused on public welfare and medical advancements, not on building nuclear arms.
