PM Shehbaz to discuss 27th constitutional amendment via video link from Baku

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet will hold an important meeting today (Friday) to discuss the proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment, focusing on the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) recommendations.

According to official sources, the meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Prime Minister’s House. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will chair the session via video link from Baku.

The cabinet will review the PPP’s proposed changes and, if approved, the amendment draft is expected to be presented in the Senate soon.

The meeting was initially planned for Friday but had been postponed due to a deadlock over the proposed constitutional changes. The 27th Amendment aims to address key political and administrative matters, with both coalition partners working to finalize a consensus.
