Türkiye issues arrest warrant for Netanyahu over Gaza genocide charges

Türkiye takes legal action against Netanyahu amid global outrage over Gaza

Türkiye issues arrest warrant for Netanyahu over Gaza genocide charges

ANKARA: Türkiye has issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over charges of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

The warrant was issued by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, which accused Netanyahu of committing crimes against humanity amid Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza.

The order calls for Netanyahu’s detention “wherever he is found” and demands that he be treated as a war criminal.

Netanyahu and his government have faced global condemnation for their actions in Gaza, where thousands of Palestinians have been killed. Even countries traditionally supportive of Israel have spoken out against the brutality and destruction.

Despite the growing criticism, Netanyahu’s administration remains defiant, continuing military operations in Gaza.

The move by Turkish authorities marks one of the strongest international legal steps taken so far against Israel’s leadership for alleged war crimes in Palestine.
