Islamabad: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), dry weather will dominate most regions of the country today, with clear skies expected throughout the day. However, temperatures in the northern mountainous areas will continue to drop, requiring warm clothing, especially during the early mornings and late evenings.
Sindh:
Most districts in Sindh will see hot and dry weather, while the southeastern and coastal regions may experience some cloud cover
Islamabad and Surrounding Areas: Dry weather will prevail, with a noticeable chill in the air during early mornings and late evenings.
Murree and Galyat: These hill stations will experience dry weather, but temperatures are expected to drop significantly overnight, leading to cold nights and mornings.
Smog in Punjab:
A widespread smog warning has been issued for several parts of Punjab, resulting from a combination of dry weather and high pollution levels. The smog is expected to trap pollutants near the surface, especially in central and upper Punjab. Residents in these areas are advised to take precautions, particularly those with respiratory conditions.
Lahore, Gujranwala, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Okara. Faisalabad, Sialkot, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and Multan. The eastern regions of Punjab are expected to experience the most severe impact of smog due to the prevailing environmental conditions.
Balochistan:
Dry weather will continue across the province, with northern districts expected to be cold, particularly during the early mornings and evenings.
