- In contrast, in Punjab, men start staring upon arrival at airports.
Ayesha Toor, the talented host and actress known for impressing fans with her work, stated that men in Karachi are better than those in Punjab. Renowned for her intelligence and clear communication, Toor recently appeared on the FHM podcast, where she discussed cultural differences she has observed while traveling through Pakistan.
She discussed how men commonly react to women when they go out, noting it has become a frequent experience. According to her, things are better in Karachi—men may look once but quickly return to their own activities, leaving women alone. However, she observed that in Punjab, men begin staring the moment you arrive at the airport, and this behavior continues no matter where you go.
She said “Punjab is more developed. They have the infrastructure, the money, better opportunities, and the military, so they should have been more progressive but it is the opposite of it. Patriarchy exists in Punjab more than in Karachi and this is what she has observed.”
