Ayeza Khan faces backlash for allegedly copying Indian designers

Ayeza Khan is one of Pakistan’s most loved actresses, with 14.7 million followers on Instagram. She has given fans many hit dramas like Mere Paas Tum Ho, Pyare Afzal, Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai, Chupke Chupke, and Chaudhry and Sons. Married to actor Danish Taimoor, the couple is admired as one of the most popular celebrity pairs in the country.

Recently, Ayeza was in the spotlight at her brother’s wedding, where her looks and styling drew a lot of attention. At one of the events, she wore a hot pink chunri outfit — a short shirt with an alladin shalwar. The design, however, came under criticism after Indian designer brand Pink City by Sarika claimed it was copied from their collection.

This isn’t the first time Ayeza has been called out for wearing copied designs. Back in 2021, she wore a hot pink chunri Anarkali suit that was also originally from an Indian brand. Pink City by Sarika even reshared a post highlighting this. At the Mehndi event, Ayeza was also accused of copying another designer, Eshal Koul’s design.

Social media users are upset with Ayeza Khan for copying Indian designs. Many are calling her “Indian obsessed” and even saying she should move to India. Some fans also pointed out that her outfit looked like a cheap version of the original. Others added that most of her dresses are inspired by Indian designers. One fan wrote, “Pakistan has the best designers in the world,” while an Indian follower admitted, “When it comes to suits, Pakistan is the best.”
